Prolouge
In the dark room where the moon didn't reflect its shine, there was a heavy and dark stench everywhere, lingering under your nose which will make you feel breathless.
This stench was not something unfamiliar for Romia, who has been lingering like a ghost in the battlefield of frontiers for more than seven years.
She didn't know that everything would turn out like this by the time she came back, though, she didn't actually feel much shocked or grieved by the situation.
As soon as she stepped inside, a groan came from beneath her feet, causing Romia to retract her foot back several steps.
"Wowowo…"
The maid was desperately crying to live as she looked towards Romia with bloodshot eyes, her uniform was full of blood, and a big black rod shaped thing was pierced through her chest.
"I can't do anything, don't look at me with those eyes."
The sticky blood was troubling Romia walking around freely, and the entire hall was a complete bloody mess.
The legs of people who had walked normally yesterday rolled on the floor, and people who crawled away on all four were also seen.
The strangers in black robes standing in the dark didn't move from their place, nor did they seem to have any intention on Romia as she walked around the mansion.
'Back then, if I knew it would be like this, then I, Romia Blight, would've never let him live here...'
She breathed out a long sigh when she saw the always high and mighty Duke was now crawling on the ground. This man, who used to be her father, she already saw his fate getting sealed on this day a long time ago, the day when he brought that crazy punk back to the Dukedom.
'I don't see the duke's daughter, and where is that bastard though? Did he die as well?'
The Duke's legitimate daughter, April, and his Eldest son, Heinry, were both the cause of Romia's suffering.
But right now, it's not the right time to reminisce about the past.
'I have to slip away before that bastard comes over!'
With this thought in mind, Romia turned back as she started to walk back towards the door.
Since the entire ducal house was massacred, there is no need to live in this place either. She would just run for her life!
'After all, I don't intend to die at the hands of this psychotic bastard!'
The moment she was going to step out of the door, Romia's body froze.
It wasn't fear that made her body freeze to this extent, at least not when she was the one who killed countless people in the battlefield.
She had no regrets about any of the people in this family. She knew they would be punished for what they had done. It's just that if there's a problem here, there's no escape.
No matter how much she struggled, she could not turn her head or move her body off the floor as if she were a statue.
She couldn't move a finger, and the only thing that moved according to her will were her eyes.
"Master, didn't you just arrive back home after a long passing of two years? Why are you in a hurry to leave right away? Where do you want to go?"
A figure hugged her from the back which covered her entire body frame, as she saw the long, windy red hair blow in the cool breeze brushed past her cheeks.
Romia knew right away who this guy was, there is no way she could be mistaken for this very feeling creeping out from the deepest part of her heart that was screaming out loudly, as if announcing his presence to the whole world.
But her face was just as calm as a serene river, the flowing stream that looks like it will never go berserk during the eclipse.
"Let go, I didn't come here to enjoy your big slaughtering ceremony."
"Aww, Romi, do you know how hurt I feel everytime you do this? Won't you take responsibility for this slave's broken heart?"
Even without looking straight on his face, Romia knew very well the expression he had on his face right now, very vividly.
The red-white man smiled refreshingly at her as she stiffened. As she glanced down at his feet, she saw his shoes with blood on it.
Though she felt dizzy, she couldn't even dare to breathe out loudly as she looked away silently.
On the contrary to letting her go, Romia felt like his hug tightened around her body even more. Of course, she wasn't a match for him at this moment, so Romia just sighed and let go of her vain struggle.
"Romi, seriously, it's no fun slaughtering those stinky pigs. Would it have been more entertaining if I just directly burned them all alive?"
"Haah… just do whatever you want. I don't have any interest in it. Let me go back."
Romia tried to escape from his embrace in vain, instead, the guy embraced her even more tightly.
"Young miss, help us!"
"I-I don't want to die…! Woooo…"
A dozen shadows came inside the house as the servants in their hands were thrown on the ground, obviously those are the ones that tried to run away but got caught in the end, as well as a certain someone among them looked towards Romia and the silver hair in desperation.
"You… You guys… what are you doing here exactly! Why are you trying to seduce Cale again, you bitch!"
'There we go again…'
Romia looked at the girl who was pointing her fingers at her from the ground with a pair of eyes full of hatred. She really didn't know how she triggered the girl's hatred out of nowhere again, when she was on the verge of death.
'Ah, I remember. It's not my fault, but because this guy hugging me uncomfortably from behind is.'
"Bitch, let go of Cale! He is mine, he can only be mine…!"
"Shut up!"
