"I'm only on chapter four, but I like where this is going and how it's being handled. Good Job. The Cinderella (rags-to-riches) narrative archetype fits well. From the start, the female protagonist is plucky. Although the male protagonist is cynical, jaded, and bored with life, he still goes after the damsel in distress. That first chapter really delivers on the promise of the premise. Great start in the familiar world. The tension escalates well, and the pacing is sharp. "

The plot was compelling and had just enough twists and turns to keep the reader interested without having them feel like it was too complicated. Dawn in various forms seems incorrectly used.
"I love the story but this and others seem to use dawn when meaning don as in to put on or wear. It seems awkward in some sentences too. There are a handful of other errors but that one is in every story I've read."
