Prologue
I struggled to make sense of my surroundings, my heart pounding in my chest. I pushed myself up from the cold, hard floor and strained to hear any other sound besides the chaos outside the room. Though the room was filled with darkness , it felt strangely familiar, as if I had been here before. The room felt like it held secrets, whispering ancient stories and unspeakable horrors. It felt like I had some connection to this place, stirring a feeling of recognition deep within me, but I could not pinch the feeling of how I was connected to the secrets, and why I had a deep sense of desperation Energy pulsed through the very air around me as I tried to recall how I ended up in this strange place. Maybe the shadowy figure standing in the corner of the room held the key to my confusion, its form merging with the darkness and sending chills down my spine.. a stranger that I also feel a strange sense of familiarity with, a strange sense of protectiveness As the figure's piercing gaze met mine, a rush of memories flooded back to me, fragments of a past life and a world beyond my comprehension and then I suddenly remembered him The figure in the corner was someone I once knew, someone I never thought I'd see again. As he stepped forward, I could see the glint of recognition in his eyes, the echo of a connection that defied my understanding.
