Welcome to Clickbait! When an internet personality meets her match.

Meet Mae Parsons. A book reviewer on YouTube who has over 100,000 subscribers. From book reviews to shouting out other booktubers in her descriptions, she was slowly gaining popularity in the YouTube community. So far in her YouTube career, she has had no scandals, no cancellations, and nothing bad. Yet. That is, until one hate comment catches her eye. That hate comment blew up on her channel and started to cause her to lose subscribers. She decides to go out of her way to comment back. This is the beginning of how Mae Parsons, an internet personality, meets her match with her hater.

Meet Nikolai Ambrose. A writer on one of the most popular websites on the planet. With over 50,000 followers on his blog, he himself was also slowly gaining popularity in the writing community. Similar to her, he had no scandals, no cancellations, and nothing bad until he decided to comment on her YouTube channel. It got so much traction that he had to make a blog post about it to defend himself from her fans. This is the beginning of how Nikolai Ambrose, a writer, got into a sticky situation.

In a strange turn of events from back-and-forth comments to one another, posting YouTube videos, and making blog posts about the situation, Mae Parsons and Nikolai Ambrose eventually decided to make the situation work in their favor by meeting each other in real life.

Mae Parsons’s newest YouTube video is Meeting My Hater in Real Life!

Nikolai Ambrose’s newest blog is Meeting the soon-to-be cancelled BookTuber in Real Life!

Needless to say, the views will grow for both of them, but if that wasn’t enough, both YouTube and the writing community started to ship them together. One commented, “There is way too much tension for two people that hate each other.” and “Look at the way they look at each other!”

An idea struck in their heads: playing into the shipping and getting more views, but how long can they pretend until one or both of them start to fall for one another? Well, audience, let us find out!
