Good plot, more context please

"Hat’s off to you for writing a plot of arrange marriages, I like books about that a lot… What this book needs is more context on why the fl behaves the way she does or even has panic attacks and no one realising about it. Waiting to read more😊"

Growing

"Though you have a great plot, your dialogue and grammar make it difficult to follow with the story you are trying to piece together. I do believe that this is an amazing story though! Keep writing and have a great day!"

Interesting subject, needs more context

"After reading the first three chapters, I find the story very confusing (not in a good way). Arranged marriage is an interesting subject, but as a reader, I would like to have some context. Is Alya living in a society where arranged marriages are the norm? Seems like it, because her parents and even her friends seem to think it’s a good idea. In that case, her family seems to be completely normal and loving. However, in the first chapter, there is a mention of Alya’s “complex family situation”. But so far, I haven’t seen any hint of that complexity. Maybe we will find out more in the following chapters? Because of the lack of context, I don’t have anything to build suspense on as a reader. I don’t know, if this is a story about a lonely girl surrounded by crazy people, or about a moody girl who has difficulties in adapting the norms of her society. I think that a reader should be given at least some hints about these things during the first three chapters. Also, so far the characters seem to be quite superficial, although Alya’s panic attack brought a hint of depth to the main character. In my opinion, the most interesting character is the mother, whose reactions to her daughter’s behavior are harsh but understandable. She is the only character, about whom I am eager to find out more. Writing style is ok. The prose flows quite effortlessly, although there are some awkward phrases and weird adjectives here and there. The only technical thing that annoyed me was the unmotivated swapping between present and past tense."
