"Not gonna lie, I wasn’t totally sure about this one at first, mostly because I don’t usually read YA/teen romance. But I’m really glad I gave it a chance because it was an amazing read. The slow burn between the main characters was SO good. I’m a sucker for a well-done slow burn and this one absolutely delivered. The emotional buildup felt natural and had me fully invested the whole time. The author also did an amazing job with Lilah’s emotions. Her heartbreak felt so real and easy to connect with that I really hurt for her while reading. Overall just such a beautiful, emotional read."

"This author is INCREDIBLE! I read her other book and absolutely loved it so thought I’ll give this a go. So so glad I did. You tell the story so darn well and despite this one being a rollercoaster of a ride to get their happy ending, it was still something I couldn’t put down. I was hooked from the start. I felt like I was living the story as the characters as you felt every emotion that was portrayed. I’d love to see another book to see how they navigate their life in their predicament after high school. Truly AMAZING!!!"

"I had my reservations when I started on this book. It had two of the tropes that I stay away from: step siblings and love triangles. What made me decide to read it was the fact that I had loved SO MUCH absolutely everything about the book I had just finished by the same author that I decided to give it a chance and, boy! How glad I am that I did. The story is solid as solid are the characters and their development. It feels real, like one of those love stories that are rare but can actually happen, where people suffer but thrive. I can only hope for a second book to this story and many many many more from this author. Now, author, you are a true storyteller, after only reading the only two books available from you on this platform you’ve made it to my top two favorite writers. Keep up with the good work. "

But when I had Asher’s POV the first time, it melts my heart away leaving me stunned & forgot how brutal he is with Lilah. It was an eye opener really. "I loved this story. I really felt Lilah's pain at how she was treated and although Asher was mainly the cause of her pain I couldn't help but like him. I think if there isn't a book 2 for this then it definitely needs an epilogue, I would love to know that they both made it in the future and stayed together. Well done to the author, beautifully written 💓"
