01: friends forever.

i'm sitting in my reading class. i'm wondering what to write about. we where supposed to begin writing a few minutes ago. but nothing has come to my mind.
i tap my pencil on my desk, hm. maybe i could write about my best friend. well, use to be. Riley Ruggs died 3 years ago. she was my best friend.
i remember her always being so kind. i can't really remember her face. i only remember her baby blue eyes and her calming smile. thets all i can remember from her.
even though she was my best friend, i don't like to remember things about her, the fuzzy memories mess with my temper a lot and i got upset and angry.
i was 14 when she died. i'm 17 now. i'm my senior year of high school. she was really important to me. but let me tell you where i first med her.
we where 8. i met riley when i went to the park. i ran up to her. and i waved a 10 dollar bill in the air at her. "Hey! my names Sparrow! i was wondering if you wanna be friends and go get ice cream with me?" i asked her.
she looked at me and smiled, "Hi! i'm Riley, i'd love to! i just have to go ask my mom!" she said, i nodded excitedly as she ran to go ask her mom.
she ran back about 5 minutes later, "My mom agreed!" she told me and i grabbed her hand and ran to the ice cream truck.
she got a chocolate cone as i got a strawberry one. we ran back giggling eating our ice cream. we sat in the sand box and finished our ice cream.
after we finished our ice cream, we started playing together. but soon a little girl a little older then us came up to us.
"Hi. i'm Gwendolyn." she said. she was very timid. but i pulled her down in the sand box. "hi Gwendolyn! this is Riley and i'm Sparrow!"
she smiled, "nice to meet yall." Riley smiled but looked a little angered. "We just have to get one thing clear!" she said to her as i was udunlly confused.
she got close to Gwendolyn, "Sparrows my best friend! and if you hurt her ill hurt you!" she yelled at her and she got startled. i laughed and pulled her away.
"Don't worry Riley! i won't let anyone hurt me and you'll always be my best friend!" i said and stuck my pinky out with ours crossing and kissing our thumbs.
"i promise."
