Summary

Axel is the president of the Devil Horns MC in Kansas City alongside his MC brothers and he has never been good with romance, and he would rather fuck and leave than fall for someone who was only going to go in the end. That all changed when he got called to help his fellow MC in Dallas, Texas, and that was when he met his Precious, the only one who ever stole his heart at first sight with her angelic, innocent personality even though she was mute from the abuse she had endured from the small gang she was sold to from her parents.

Prologue

“Hey, Prez, are you in?” I grunted a reply, allowing my vice to enter my office.

I barely looked at him when he came in, sitting across from me with a smirk and arms crossed behind his head.

I raised one eyebrow in question, looking at him with an annoyed expression, wondering what he wanted.

“Hunter, what the fuck do you want?” I gruffly said with a glare.

“Well, I got another call from the Vice in Dallas, and his Prez is wondering if we can get to them earlier than next week as we had agreed on,” Hunter shrugged, and I knew we needed to saddle up and head on out tonight.

“Tell Wolf we need to get the bikes ready; we need to saddle up,” I growled out, leaving my office in haste, feeling my anger getting the best of me over the fact of the matter happening in Dallas.

“Axel, I am glad you could come earlier,” Josh, the Ghost Flames MC president, wearily said.

I looked between Bear and Leo, sensing this shit was about to hit the fan, and we were going to be in the center of it.

“Why don’t you talk and see what we can do to help,” I told him, following him toward his meeting room.

I took my seat, waiting for him to start on church, and was surprised to see a lot of patched members inside the room.

I sat back with my legs spread apart and arms crossed over my chest, scanning the room to see who we would work with for this assignment.

“All right, fuckers! Listen up! We are going to head into the enemy territory and take them out, seeing how they have caused enough problems for the local PD,” Josh said, slamming his hand on the tabletop aggressively.

I watched on, amused, knowing how he acts with everyone else and those he needs his attention with his leadership complex.

“The President of The Devil Horn’s MC is here with a few of his brothers to help us deal with this situation,” Josh finished his speech and concluded church.

I stood up with Bear and Leo, seeing we would be the only ones who could handle the stressful situations since the last time we had to deal with some low-life gang trying to enter into my territory and steal my MC’s hard-earned money from our businesses.

“Bear, Leo, stay with me when we head on in; I have a feeling we will be needed,” I sternly told my brothers, who silently agreed.

The three of us got into the armoured van sitting in the back silently waiting for shit to hit the fan, and I was itching to cause some damage to those who dared go after the innocents.

We arrived, and I got out wearing a bulletproof vest under my cut with my name on the back and my club’s logo of a skull and horns with flowers to represent the nomads we are throughout the United States.

I grabbed the twin barrel shotgun, loaded the shells into place and cocking it back to have a shell slide in.

I walked over to the front door with Josh next to me, and I raised my left leg, kicking in the door and aiming my shotgun towards the few men sitting on the couch.

I raised one eyebrow, watching on, amused at how slow they were, when I began to shoot at them both, knocking them to the ground, groaning and bleeding from their wounds.

I nodded to a few of Josh’s men, with Bear behind me, seeing how Leo would stay in the van to help anyone injured in the crossfire.

“I am going with Bear to check the basement to see what they have down there,” I told Josh.

I left the room with Bear as we made it slowly down the basement, and I quickly grabbed my flashlight to see around the darkness of the cold basement; what I saw angered me and stopped my heart at the beautiful sight of the little woman huddled against the back wall.

I handed Bear the shotgun and slowly made my way over to the petite young woman who had scared, fearful eyes staring at me with her lip quivering in fright.

My eyes softened, seeing how dirty and harmed she was, and it was breaking my heart to see such a precious little thing hurt in any way.

“Hello, Precious, my name is Axel; I am not here to harm you,” I softly cooed, crouching down to face her.

I watched her eyes blink slowly, looking at me with such innocence that I was afraid to move in case I scared her.

I felt her petite body slam into mine, and I quickly held her thin frame, holding her body tightly to my chest, not wanting to let this sweet young woman go.

“Prez, we need to go,” I heard my brother say, and I quickly picked her up into my arms, shielding her from the others who watched on, confused.

“Shh, Precious, you are safe; I will keep you safe and out of harm’s way,” I whispered, walking towards the van to have Leo look her over.

I gently sat her down on the back of the van, taking my place next to her, and I gently held her hand while Leo took his time to look her over.

“Well, it seems like she has been abused for years and is very malnourished,” I felt my anger rise, knowing this beautiful little angel went through unimaginable, horrifying abuse for years.

“What can I do to help her get better?” I worriedly asked, placing her upon my lap sideways as we all settled into the van to head back to the Ghost Flames MC compound.

I felt my precious cling to my cut, cuddling against my chest, watching everything with curious eyes leaning against me.

I cradled her close, speaking with Leo about what I must do to help Precious on her journey of healing and me to learn how to communicate with ASL, seeing how he was able to get her to tell him that she was mute and afraid to talk.
