Chapter 1
In the middle of the night, in the city of Chongyun City, in an ordinary bar, people gathered to drown their sorrows in alcohol. Some spent all their money, while others just came to pass the time. Among them was a man named Ayaya, wearing a disheveled white shirt and with unkempt brown hair. He was drowning his sorrows in beer, spending all his money.
Ayaya had many reasons to be depressed. He used to work as a police officer, but his career ended when a bank robbery went wrong. During the chaos, a grenade exploded near them, and in a daze, Ayaya accidentally shot his partner. As a result, he lost his job and his badge.
On top of that, he had a falling out with his parents, leading to a strained relationship and impending eviction from his home. With little time left before being kicked out, Ayaya felt lost and unmotivated.
One night, Ayaya fell asleep at the bar, intoxicated. In his dream, he found himself in a beautiful valley with a cascading waterfall, colorful flowers, and a stunning woman bathing in the waters. As he approached her, he woke up, frustrated, and left the bar.
Drunk and wandering the streets, Ayaya encountered a group of seemingly criminal individuals who pushed him around, demanding his belongings. In response, Ayaya, feigning compliance, suddenly punched one of them. Angered, the others began beating him mercilessly, insulting him in the process.
Amidst the onslaught of punches, Ayaya found himself back in his dream with the waterfall and the woman. He asked her name, and she replied, "Yao Yao." Before he could learn more, Ayaya woke up in an alley, battered and bruised, remembering the encounter.
Ayaya walked aimlessly, still in pain, feeling like he carried a heavy burden. Lost in thought, he reached a road and was hit by a car. The driver called an ambulance, and as Ayaya was being transported, he once again entered the dream. Yao Yao appeared, telling him that he would die that day.
In the dream, Yao Yao revealed that Ayaya was in the process of taking his own life. They shared a passionate kiss, and Ayaya woke up in a hospital bed, alive but filled with resentment. Angry and without the will to live, he asked a nurse to end his life, but she refused.
Days passed in the hospital, and Ayaya, still despondent, mustered the strength one night to search for poison. In a room full of medicines, he found what he sought and injected himself. As he began to drift off, he returned to the dream of the waterfall and Yao Yao.
In the dream, they engaged in intimate acts, and Ayaya experienced a flood of memories from his past. As he climaxed, Ayaya asked Yao Yao if he could have a new life after this. She replied cryptically, encouraging him to discover it for himself. Ayaya looked to the sky and saw a approaching light.
Nurses entered Ayaya's room to find him dead. His life had been far from perfect, filled with suffering in his final weeks. He chose death to find peace, free from sins and worries, finally at rest.
