Chapter 1 Lilly
"Can i ever catch a break?" I say out loud as i look at my textbook in disbelief. The school has become hell over the past few days. As im nearing the end of my journey, i realize that the last test is coming up in two weeks. It's gonna be the hardest test I've had to do in a very long time. Im in a town with no family and no friends just so i can become a veternarian. There was a knock on my door. "Come in." I say a little annoyed. I never get any time to study anymore.
"Hey Lil, I was wondering if you have any plans for tomorrow?" Jax says, looking sheepish.
"Yeah, i want to finish up some more studying and maybe take some me time." I say never looking up from my book.
"I see. Do you think maybe you'd want to catch a movie?" I hear the stutter he always has when he's around me. It's always been kind of cute, but right now, im stressed out and wanting to study. I look at him with sympathy.
Jax is your typicle nerdy cute man. He's 25 and stands 6'3, maybe 170 in weight. He's got shaggy black hair that goes right past his green eyes. Always wearing a marveled T-shirt under his black hoodie.
"Jax." I sigh."I would, but im really wanting to ace this test." I say, knowing he's gonna pout and try to convince me. He always liked me, and it was obvious to anyone around. But i didn't see him that way. I was raised next door to him most of my life and his family and mine were best friends and he's been my best friend forever. I helped him get his first girlfriend, and im the one who had to give him the talk. Bc his dad was your typicle, no good drunk.
"Please, the newest slasher movie is out, and i know you can't ignore a good horror movie.." he trails off.
"Okay, fine, but after that, i got to get back to studying, okay?"
He gives me his big ass goofy smile and says deal. Then he leaves after telling me he'll pick me up at 6.
Knowing that it's already 11:42, I close my book and get ready to turn in for the night. Knowing that tomorrow is gonna be a long day.
