Chloe Adams opened the back door of her house and stomped into the kitchen. She plopped down and pulled her light brown naturally highlighted hair back into a ponytail. Chloe pulled out her summer bucket list and smoothed the wrinkles out. She furrowed her eyebrows and clutched her pencil in her hand. Come on, think Chloe, think! She glanced around the kitchen, her eyes resting on a spatula leaning against a bowl. Cooking!

She could barely make herself breakfast, much less make a cupcake. Chloe jotted that down. Tapping her pencil against her chin, she thought about school. She was pretty good at math and science. English was her strong part. But French. That she was struggling with, so, Chloe wrote down work on French.

Chloe reached down to her backpack resting on the floor and pulled out her water bottle. She opened the cap and guzzled it down. Feeling refreshed, Chloe went back to her list. She added stay awake long enough to see the sun rise and set.

Chloe felt her bladder start to tingle. Bathroom! She jolted out of the chair and stumbled to the bathroom. After using the bathroom, she studied her reflection in the bathroom mirror. She tilted her face to view it from different angles. Her hair was ok up, but…… she pulled it out of a ponytail. It hung over her shoulders in frizzy waves. Chloe made a face. She smoothed her hands over it and peered at her eyes. Short, light eyelashes framed her hazel eyes.

She studied her pink, chapped lips. Her lips were so chapped that some areas were bleeding. Chloe used her sweater sleeve to dab the blood on her lips and went to her room to get her cherry ChapStick. She applied it and turned to face herself in her body mirror that was propped up against her wall. She was short too. She stood on her tiptoes. Still short. Chloe sighed and surveyed her body in disgust. Her hips were a tad bit too wide, which did not work well with her short figure. Chloe shifted her body to the side a bit and pinched at her belly fat. She scrunched up her face in disgust. Chloe slid her hands up from her stomach to her chest. Not flat…. But not too big like the other girls. Chloe made a sound of frustration and fell back onto her bed. She gazed up at her room ceiling which still had the glow-in-the-dark stars she had put up with her grandma. Then inspiration struck her. She jumped off her bed and ran back to the kitchen where her bucket list was. She grabbed her pencil and wrote down, get a glow-up.
