I’ve really enjoyed the 1st book and was pleasantly surprised by the bonus/updates. I still would like Vera to end up with Colt. Despite Adler’s and Vera’s infatuation with each other they might have felt drawn to each other due to the pain of having left behind by Colt. However, what Vera and Colt shared was much deeper than that and could find each other again at some point in their lives.
