THE SEARCH FOR THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL.
“AVERAGE,” “UNCOOL” and “TIMID” are the three words that best describe her school life, in fact, a lot of her childhood. This write-up is for the little girl who endured a lot of sarcastic, nasty, and painful comments from her teacher, her friends, literally everyone. The world became way too serious when she was very young. After the age of seven, the lens through which she viewed the world and herself changed forever. She became very doubtful, scared of everything and everyone.
The trauma that a seven-year-old child went through just because she was not “liked” by her class teacher is a trauma that she will forever carry with herself. Constantly being bullied for who she was, the agony in her only increased day by day, leaving her feeling utterly helpless. The feeling of not being good enough for the world around her killed her self-confidence and her identity. The innocence that she had was unjustifiably plundered from her.
All she wanted was the light at the end of the tunnel. Before even the light seeped into the tunnel, she walked past all the darkness she endured and arrived at the end of the tunnel. As I continue to unfold the tribute, let me start with the very first chapter, “Average.”
