Chapter 1 - Edwina POV
My phone alarm goes off, its 7.15am and I start my new job today.
I get up and go to the bathroom, Enzo joins me as usual, meowing until he is fed. "Ugh, Enzo, can't a girl get some peace first thing in the morning" I ask knowing full well what I say won't register.
I finish what I'm doing and get dressed, I chose to wear the most practical but professional outfit, a navy pinstripe trouser suit with matching blazer along with low heels. Then go to feed Enzo before he creates havoc!!
As I grab something to eat my phone beeps, its a message from my bestie in LA, "Good luck on your first day" followed by a fingers crossed and four leaf clover emoji. Thats just like Polly, woman of very few words but always said with feeling.
I replied my thanks with a hug emoji and set off for the day leaving Enzo in the window getting ready for yet another nap.
