"Fast paced! Things I loved- 1. The relentless torment. Each chapter hits hard, with almost no dead space. 2. Moral ambiguity. Perhaps I missed it, but there never seemed to be evidence that he did anything more than lust after his students, which is fairly normal. Even going beyond that isn’t necessarily horrible, though it usually is! Indeed, one of my favorite teachers got his student pregnant, which led to him getting divorced then marrying the girl. He remained a respected member of the staff for many years after I graduated. Emily might very well have not picked her victims as carefully as she thought. Relying on female students’ social media posts is especially ironic, considering her actions in that area. 3. Related to the last point. Such a wonderfully flawed heroine! 👍 4. An efficient and easy flowing narrative brings excitement to the events. 5. Short chapters. Inkitt discourages this, but in your book, it works very well. What could be better, IMO.- (spoiler alert!) 1. Emily is a compelling character, but not very fleshed out. I understand wanting to keep a big reveal for the last chapter, but I figured out she was not a teenager in a very early chapter, so it did not come as a big surprise. I would have much preferred to know her “villain arc,” preferably as a flashback (or other literary device) rather than a clichéd confession to the victim, though that could still be effective. 2. Over use of “I never expected what happened next…” 3. Near the end, the events veer into the unrealistic category, though it never gets ridiculous. Knowing more about Emily could mitigate this. Overall, it’s an excellent book, which I found hard to put down. You should be proud of this work.🏆"
