A Gift For Her Part 1
“So you’re single. It’s not the first time you’ll be spending Valentine’s day alone, Paris.”
“No, This is not the first time I’ve spent Valentine’s day alone. You’re right. Why am I acting like it’s such a disaster if I’ve spent the last two alone too? Oh! I don’t know… Maybe, It’s because I’m alone in the most romantic city in the world surrounded by couples and feeling like a failure because I haven’t been on a single decent date in years!” Paris slammed her empty wine glass on the granite countertop in the kitchen. Instead of filling the glass once more, she dumped herself in the stool and picked up the bottle of Chardonnay, tipping it to her head while her friend, Savannah, cleared her throat on the other end of the call.
“First of all,” Savannah’s British accent only amplified the disapproval in her tone, “Rome is not the most romantic city in the world, it’s by far, Venice. Second of all, do not yell at me as if it is my fault that you’re single. I’m not the one who told you to leave your boyfriend of five whole years because he couldn’t make you cum. Had you asked my opinion, I would have told you to suck it up, buy a vibrator and accept your Valentine’s day gifts each year with a smile, knowing your suffering was worth it.”
“You wouldn’t understand, Savannah. You’ve only ever been with Micheal and you’ve always gotten yours.”
“And you were only ever with Jason…”
“And I never got mine.”
“Can’t I have both? Can’t I come on dick and get valentine’s day gifts? Am I being greedy?”
“You’re not being greedy, Paris. It’s just not your time yet.”
“What do you mean it’s not my time? I just want to be someone’s valentine!”
A loud crash sounded, Paris screamed as she tried to dodge the glass that came flying towards her. A gust of wind came blowing in through her now broken window.
“What the fuck? Paris! Are you okay?” Savannah’s voice blared from the phone, in a daze Paris replied, “A man just flew in through my kitchen window.”
“What?” Savannah yelled.
“A man just flew in through my window.”
“Parish grab a knife, stay on the line, I’ll get Micheal to call the police.”
“He’s a firefighter.”
The firefighter stood. He had thick arms and a broad chest, his uniform seemed to strain to stretch over his muscles. Paris’ heart rate picked up as she stared at him.
“What the hell is going on?”
“The apartment complex is on fire. There’s no way to get out going down. I had to kick in your window. Now come with me, we have to get you to safety.”
“Oh My God.”
“Paris! Paris, can you hear me?”
Paris grabbed her phone, “I whine for dick and God decided to light me on fire.”
Savannah sighed, “You mean you whine for dick and God sends you a firefighter. Thank You God!”
“Paris?” The firefighter’s voice held an urgency that indicated the fire was actually serious. “Savannah, I’m going to go with him.”
“Hey Firefighter! Name please. If anything happens to her…”
“McLean, Sebastian McLean. She’ll be fine, so long as we go now! Let’s move, Paris.”
It was only when the broad chested, thick armed firefighter named Sebastian McLean wrapped his arms around her body and crushed her to his chest, that Paris remembered that she was only dressed in a robe with nothing but a simple thong under it. She had half the mind to ask him to let her go back inside for clothes, but, as they dangled from a rope just outside her window, Paris looked down and realized that the building really was on fire, from where they were, the heat of the flames tickled her feet. She could not believe how shit her week has been. A small voice in the back of her mind assured her that, “It wasn’t all bad.” The voice said, “At least you’re in the arms of an attractive man, that’s a first in a while.”
The voice was not helping.
“So? Did you sleep with him?” Savannah’s voice on the end of the line was a comfort.
The anxiety that still ran through her blood after being burnt alive was however still in full force, “No! I literally just met him, Sav!”
“I was just asking, he sounded hot.”
“He was hot. He’s older too. When we got to the ground I realized he had that silver fox thing going for him with the gray hair dusting right over his ear. It looks like he may have broken his nose a while back too. His lips look so kissable.”
“So what the hell happened?”
“Well, he got me clothes, took me to a hotel, got a room for me, gave me his number and left.”
“Wow. Did you even try to be sexy?”
“I tried to be sexy!” Paris wanted to scream that at her friend, she wanted to admit that she tried to get Sebastian McLean’s attention but the older man seemed only concerned with getting her into warmer clothes and giving her a place to sleep that was not his place. Instead of admitting all of that, Paris sighed, “Why would I try to be sexy for a stranger?”
“I don’t know, because you’re alone in the most romantic city in the world surrounded by couples and feeling like a failure because I haven’t been on a single decent date in years.” Savannah mocked Paris’ earlier rant making her friend growl.
“Fuck you, Sav.”
“Unfortunately, I’m in a very committed relationship right now and my boyfriend doesn’t like to share.”
“You’re such a bitch.” Paris sighed turning in the hotel bed, it was far bigger than the bed she had in her apartment. That fact made her far more aware that she was alone in it. Sebastian’s body would have filled the space beside her easily. They’d probably both work up a sweat trying to fill the space inside her though.
“He left his number, you should call him.”
“You’re a bad influence.”
“And yet I’m right. I’m going to hang up now. Next time I call, I want to hear all the details”
So she called him, the phone rang twice before his deep voice answered. She could tell from his grunts that she’d woken him up.
“Hello?”
“Sebastian?” She kept her voice small, just so he wouldn't hear how nervous she really was.
“Speaking.”
Jesus! Paris panicked a little at the formality in his tone, “It’s Paris, I’m sorry for calling this late, I hope I didn’t wake your wife…”
His voice softened when he said, “I’m not married, Paris.”
“Then girlfriend?”
“No girlfriend.”
“So you’re single on Valentine’s Day too.” Paris mumbled the words, but with the phone so close to her face, Sebastian heard them clearly,
“Why’d you call Paris?”
“I just wanted to talk for a bit.”
“Talk? I overheard your conversation with your friend, gorgeous. I know you didn’t call me to talk. Say it clearly, Paris.”
She heard him shuffle in bed. Was he sitting up?
“Would you —” Paris bit her lip hesitating for a moment, “Would you come to my room tonight?”
“I don’t think that’s very appropriate, Paris.”
“Aren’t we both old enough to forget about what’s appropriate?” Paris’ heart raced when she heard him chuckle,
“Baby, I don’t think you want me to forget what’s appropriate...” His voice was so deep and smoky. Her pussy was weeping into her panties. “I really need your help, Sebastian. Don’t make me beg.”
“Making you beg will just be the start, Paris. If you really want to do this, unlock the door for me.”
