On a cold autumn night, a young girl wandered around a quiet town as silently as she could. Her thoughts were in jumples, and she had no clue where she was going. She did have one thought repeating itself within her mind; it was to find something to eat. Her stomach ached from hunger, her body ached from the exhausted journey, and her eyes ached from no sleep. She had to keep herself wide awake and her ears open to everything because of the danger that lurked around her. She knew she was being haunted and chased. She’s been shot at and almost captured countless times to where she had lost count. It was quiet now, but she knew it wasn’t over. It would never be over after what she did…
The young girl sniffed the ground and caught a whiff of something that smells fruity. She cocked her head to the side and crept forward on all fours. She found it more comfortable to move this way. She moved around the corner as lines began to outline everything around her. Her ears became more open to the sounds around her. She quickly had to duck, however, when she saw bright lights shine out of a large window. She looked around and saw many people inside. Her heart quickened as fear began to burst through her. The sight of their warm bodies made her want to jump in for a bite, but she didn’t dare to do so. She backed away as slowly and quietly as she could so she didn’t make a sound instead. She wasn’t about to go into the light nor was she going to allow herself to get spotted by them. She was hungry, yes, but she had survived many days without anything to eat. She could survive a little more, but for how long was the question she didn’t want answered.
She retreated her steps and walked to the other side of town in the hope to find something, anything, to satisfy her hunger. She stayed within the treeline that surrounded the area, but she made sure the lights were within her sight as navigation. A snap of twig, however, snapped her attention behind her. She spun around quickly to look at the darkness behind her. Her eyes outlined everything, the scents around her became clearer, and her ears deeply focused on the sounds. She saw, smelt, and heard nothing out of the ordinary. She took a step back, looked away, and then looked back again. She continued on her task, but she proceeded with caution.
The young girl went down an alleyway beside a building, but she didn’t allow herself to go all the way through. She stopped midway beside the trash can, only to quickly hide on the side when she heard a door open. She pushed herself into the dark corner and listened to someone walk closer and closer. She felt herself wanting to pounce as pain bolted through her gums. She put a hand over her mouth and breathed in slowly as she heard something throw something into the trashcan and walk back into the building. She waited what felt like a long time before she moved back infront.
She looked around and allowed herself to be aware with her surroundings before she allowed herself to moved onto her feet. She knew she had to move quickly due to the pain running down her spine into her legs. Her legs trembled as she dug through the trash and pulled out something that stuck to her hands. She crouched and immediately devoured the tasty treat, but it didn’t taste good at all. It was bland the moment it touched her tongue, and she struggled to get it down her throat. She choked as she struggled against it, but it quickly won when it came back up with blood. She choked and coughed as she began to thrash around from the pain. Her spine tightened together as she hunched over and through it all up, but there was barely anything there. All it was, as it always had been, was blood.
A spur of anger, one of the main emotions she felt but didn’t understand, burst through her, and she slammed her fist into the trash can. She jumped at the loud sound and quickly skirried away as fast as her body would allow her to go. She didn’t even get the slightest chance to gather herself when a loud growl echoed through the air and her stomach rumbled with so much pain. She whimpered and held her stomach, but she pressed on as she limped forward.
Until she heard something hiss behind her.
Her body froze and her spine straightened. A lot of pain bolted through because of it, but she ignored it. She knew she had more important matters that were around her. She pushed it to the back of her mind and slowly turned around. Her eyes looked all over, but she saw nothing. A hiss sounded off above her, and it pulled her eyes. But she saw nothing once again. She slowly backed away and searched everywhere she could see. Again, she didn’t find anything at first until a pair of bright glowing eye disappeared in the shadows in front of her. She let out a small hiss, a surprise to herself, as she bowed her head. Her heart quickened and so did the intake of air into her lungs.
Without wasting another second, the young girl bolted as fast as she could. She could hear people running behind her and on the rooftops. Her own harsh erratic breathing was heard more in her sensitive ears, and it caused her to panic even more because they had found her once again. She turned left and rushed down the road where multiple eyes appeared infront of her. She skidded to a stop and turned around to bolt. She was about to make it down the street when a large group of people blocked her way. She turned around and took a few steps when more people appeared. She found herself desperate as she went back down the tiny alleyway. She got to the end and turned to run away, but a loud pop echoed in the air followed by her loud yelp of pain. Her head connected to the ground where she slid a few inches. She whimpered and tried to get up, but the pain kept her grounded when the pain shot up through her leg from her ankle. She tried to get up while she kept her weight off her bad ankle, but the mud would barely allow her to move.
More fear flooded through her, and it caused her desperation to survive to grow worse. She attempted again to get on three limbs and move, and she was finally able to after many attempts. She knew she was their nightly entertainment as before because they could have killed her right then and there. She didn’t want to play into it. She just wanted to be left alone and freed from all this madness. There was only one way to free her, but she wanted to go away on her own terms. They wouldn’t allow that to happen, so she was stuck. She had to run on three limbs and survive, but she knew deep inside that there was no use. Those that chased her kept up with her pace. She knew this because she could see their shadows on the fround from the moonlight that shined above. She didn’t need it anyway to see them, hear them, sense them.
The sound of the wind covered most of the hisses as she made her way out of the alleyway. It felt like it had taken forever to get through. She tried to ignore everything that was going on with the thought to survive being the only thing that crossed her mind. However, it failed. Especially after something dropped infront of her. She fell back and hit her head hard on the concrete after she failed to stop herself safely. There was nothing safe about anything that was going on. There was nothing safe about her, and she knew that even through the dizziness that swarmed her head. She forced herself to sit up, and she looked up with hesitation into a pair of bright eyes. They were different then her own when hers decided to shine. While the blue in her eyes was the only color that shined like a diamond, his was green. A dark green that looked to be able to send darkness into a light soul.
“Well, ain’t this a treat?” he grinned, causing the girl to crawl back. “This entire ride has been such a treat, don’t you think?” he added darkly. She screamed in panic when she felt hands grab her arms in a tight hold. She felt a warmth spread across her skin as she felt different emotions, again, she didn’t understand, began to rise. The man walked forward as he took a dagger from behind him that shined bright like the sun when the light shined upon it. He waved it tauntedly infront of her while he held a very large grin on his lips. “The chase is sadly over. Quite a disappointment you are. You’ve been able to hold the chase for many months, but I was expecting it to be longer. I was expecting this game of cat and mouse to last longer.”
Suddenly, the man threw her into a large building. The wall burst apart as she went through it, and she slammed against a large metal pole on the inside. A large crack ran through the air from both her back and the metal, but it sounded the same to her ears. All the air she had in her lungs disperst, and her eyes went wide from the slam before she landed on the dirty ground with a thump. She struggled to get onto her hands and knees from the pain that coursed through her entire body. It rushed down her back, through her chest, and into her lungs. She whimpered in pain, and it caused a numb sensation to roam through her mind. She screamed as more pain was added when the man sent a hard kick into her abdomen. She finished off the metal beam and landed through the other wall. She rolled a few times before her back hit a wall to a different building.
Gathering all her strength, the young girl dug her fingers into the ground and tried to crawl away. She quietly sobbed as blood spilt from her mouth like a waterfall. It mixed with the dirt below her. She tried to breathe from her bleeding nose, but it caused her to cough. She couldn’t breathe without choking. The man grabbed her by her hair and pulled her back into the building. She tried to struggle, but there was no point. The man was stronger than she was, and he body slammed her to point the point further. She tried to move, but her body refused. She wanted to scream in both terror and fear, but she couldn’t without a violent cough that wanted to burst through her.
The man turned her onto her back and crouched above her. “So weak,” he hissed with a grin, grabbing her neck in a tight hold. “All this time, I’ve wondered why they couldn’t kill you. All you do is run without raising a single finger to fight back. We’ve given you so many chances to show us something, yet you continue to fail.” He slammed her head back with a laugh and straddled her. “I guess that would have taken all my fun away. I like them easy anyway.”
The young girl whimpered as a stream of silent cries flowed from her eyes. She knew where this was going, what he wanted. She had gone through it many times back home, so she should have been used to it. However, it didn’t matter. She could never get herself prepared for anything this situation would bring.
“Don’t worry, I’ll make it rough just like you like it,” he assured. She watched him bring the dagger close to her. She felt something rush through her arms, and her arms moved without her thought like something else had control. She blocked his wrist and fought against his large amount of strength with her own that somehow matched. She felt her eyes burn and clear shock arose on the man’s face. His shock gave her body enough time to force the dagger into her hand and stab the sharp point into his neck. However, that was all she was able to do when his fist connected to her face. He grabbed her throat and pulled her face an inch from his. “Fucking bitch,” he spat through his teeth. He slammed her head into the ground multiple times before he grabbed the dagger back and put it to her own throat. He didn’t give any type of clue to what he was about to do until he suddenly stabbed her in the crease of the elbow. She screamed in pain, and her other hand tried to reach for her wound. The man grabbed her wrist, slammed it beside her, and stabbed the same dagger into the same place. She screamed again, but she stopped when she felt him pressed the bloodied blade to her thoat. She froze as she felt him slowly and softly guide it across her neck. She knew it wasn’t to hurt her but to petrfy her into listneing to him. “Aww, there’s no need to be scared,” he assured with a smirk, watching her with intent desired filled eyes. “I have to make sure you won’t be able to ruin the fun once again.” He laughed. “I doubt you’ll have any issues taking it. Am I right, Dearie?”
With a laugh, the man leaned down and put his face within her neck. The young girl was about to move her eyes to the ceiling and close her mind into another world as he did his buissness. However, her eyes instead wandered the soft bleeding wound at his neck. The familiar lines slowly appeared within his body, within her eyes. The warm colors pumped through the lines between cold colors on either wide of the warm tunnels. There was something that beat within his chest that sent his blood through his veins that truly sent a feeling of desire to burst through her body. Her eyes and gums burned as she felt her fangs slide through, and her heart jumped in a rapid beat to what she was, and wanted, to do.
Without thinking another second, she wrapped her legs and arms around the man and sank her teeth into him. She didn’t have the mind to think about what she was doing or how she was able to do it. All she wanted was to drink…eat. The man roared in pain and tried desperately to push her away, but she kept him in a tight hold. She took large gulps and her eyes widened from the delicious flavor that grew more and more with each second. He was finally able to pull away from her, but not without ripping a large chunk from his neck. He slumped back with his hand on his severely bleeding wound. He watched the young girl jump to a crouch and devour his meat in seconds. He watched the blue in her eyes glow so bright that it almost blinded him as she licked the blood off her fingers. The violet in her eyes darkened so dark they almost looked black. It terrified him, but it didn’t terrify as bad until he watched the blue brighten once again with the violet still dark. She looked at him with the most emotionless look, but her eyes said everything. The meat didn’t satify her hunger at all. It made it tensify to the point she could no longer ignore it. She wanted more. She needed more!
The young girl got on all fours and slowly crept forward. Her head cocked to the side, almost going a whole one eighty, as she bowed her body. A hiss and a growl merged out of her throat, and it caused him to crawl back. It was a bad move because she leaped on him. The man tried to fight back, but she suddenly weighed a ton like a large animal or a large diesel truck. She held his arms beside his head and crushed the bones in his wrist with a single squeeze. He screamed in pain as she bent her head and took in a big whiff of his sweet blood that flowed to the floor. Enough of his blood had been wasted, she wasn’t about to waste any more. She allowed herself to drink his blood. The sound of her desperation for it took over the silence, but soon the sound of his flesh getting torn from his body quickly followed. The man screamed just as she did before. Part of her found it rather irritating. She wanted to have her first meal she had in so long to be quiet. She also found it to be rather pleasuring. Yet, she also hated it. She was hurting someone, but she couldn’t stop. Not because she wanted revenge, but because she physcially couldn’t like her body had a mind of its own.
“Help me!” he screamed, reaching toward his frozen comrades, “help me! He-!”
His words grew to chokes and his blood splattered everywhere when the young girl tore out his throat. She continued to eat with an innocent look on her expression as she watched the man suffer until his soul left his pathetic eyes. His face was frozen in terror, which caused her to feel something. It rose to the top of her skin, and she felt the corners of her mouth twitch. It was something she didn’t understand, but she didn’t care enough to think about it. All she cared about was food.
By the time she was done, there wasn’t a single thing left behind except for the blood on the ground that she desperately tried to lick up. She wasn’t satified, however, even with the full course she just had. She was starving…hungry…thirsty…She peeked at everyone around her as she slowly licked the blood from the ground like a cat drinking water. Cool and warm colors filled the lines in her eyes as it did before, and she could see their hearts beating softly within their chests. Her bottom raised in the air and softly wiggled like a cat about to bounce on prey. She leep foward like an animal and ran full speed toward her target.
Suddenly, something fell infront of her. She quickly skidded to a stop and jumped back. Or so she thought. She didn’t move, let alone breath. She did, however, slowly look into a dark pair of brown eyes. His short black hair made his eyes look much darker than they were. They almost matched together. He was the largest man she had ever seen in her life, and she’s seen plenty of them through her years. His shirt was tucked into his jeans, and he wore thick boots. The stranger looked like he could give her exactly what she wanted all by himself, and she wanted to…Eat. Drink. Devour.
“You killed my second-in-command,” he said quietly, studying her with impressed eyes. She softly growled at him and stepped back. “And they said you weren’t a threat.” He smirked and crouched in front of her. “I guess that’s what he gets for getting too cocky for listening to kids who barely know what the hell they’re doing.” The young girl kept her head low with a hiss and growl toward him as she crawled back. That was until her hand pressed against something cold. Her eyes peeked at the sparkling red dagger. “You surely have a lot of guts for someone so small,” he expressed, pulling her eyes. The girl sliced the dagger in the air, but he caught her wrist without a blink. She struggled to get her hand away from him, but he held a firm hold. “Your fight is a pitiful one, Dearie,” he sighed, his eyes holding a gentle look in his eyes. “It makes me wonder why they didn’t kill you instead. Tell me, why wouldn’t they come after you if you were as innocent as you looked?”
The girl didn’t move to show him an answer, let alone speak. The man reached forward, but she slapped his hand away and crawled back. The man cocked his head to the side while he held her grin. His grin made her skin feel so warm she thought she was burning. He gave a short nod of his head, and she felt two people grab her arms. She thrashed, hissed, and snapped her teeth, but one of the men pulled back her hair in a tight hold. The girl watched the man move around her, and she heard the man grab the dagger off the ground.
“It’s a pity really to have to kill you here and now. I would have loved to have you next to me. You’re pretty, young, and feisty, but you can’t be controlled, can you?” She held his gaze. “I can see why he wants you dead, and I guess a deal is a deal,” he sighed, crouching back infront of her. He studied her for long moments before he added in a hush voice, “as long as I get paid.”
Time slowed around the young girl as he thrusted the blade toward her. Her heart quickened as her eyes slipped toward the blade. It inched closer and closer. It was about to stab her when she felt a rush of warmth and cold on either side of her body. Warmth on her right and coldness on her left. She felt her left hand twitch, and the blade stopped right as it was about to stab her. She felt her eyes widen, but the emotion of fear quickly dropped from her expression. The man fought against it with so much strenght his veins were visable against his skin like they were about to burst. The man fell down to his knees, and the dagger was ripped from his hand. It landed with a loud thump into the skull of his dozen men that surrounded her. They tried to move in, but a rush of wind slammed them back into the walls. The building shifted from the strength and a little debri fell from the ceiling. The young girl felt the wind breeze against her arms as she fell forward. She quickly hid behind something as one of the men screamed while the other one only panted for air until the room was filled with silence.
“Do you really want to know why she can’t be killed?” asked a light voice on the left side of the room.
“We should show him,” growled a deeper voice on the right as the blade slowly moved around the room, “I’m starving for a bite.”
A long hiss and a dark growl filled the room. “You’ll learn the consequences of hurting her,” the voices threatened together. “Just like he did!”
Suddenly, screams were heard in her ears and everything began to get thrown all over the room. The building walls collapsed and the ceiling dropped. The young girl could only watch it in slow motion as it fell closer to her. Her eyes wide and her lungs froze in her chest. The warmth on her skin grew and grew until she could no longer feel fear or pain as the warmth on her skin continued to the point she thought she was burning. She saw something spark against her skin, but it disappeared when the debri somehow landed around her in a circle a few feet away.
“Run!” ordered the voices. “We’ll follow!”
The young girl moved, but she was caught and pinned to the ground. She screamed and thrashed, but the man was much stronger than her. All she could do was stare into his raging eyes as he lifted the dagger in the air and swung it down. She watched it inch closer; he was about to kill her once again. However, her eyes met his again. It was almost like something had taken over her mind like a million times as she opened her palms up.
Suddenly, white flames sprung from her hands in a large swirling wind. The flames overtook the building in a blink of an eye as it exploded from her skin. The man had been thrown off her, but she could hear his screams. She could hear everyone scream within her ears as their blurning flesh filled her nose. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Her body was lifted onto her feet as she took in her surroundings. Screams, the fire against her skin, and the smell of burning flesh. She felt something rise through her as she took a step. Then another and another until the sensation paused when she stepped on something…crispy.
The young girl looked down at someone who was badly burnt to where he was unreconizeable. He choked and struggled to breathe as he limply tried to reach for her help. She cocked her head to the side as she watched him suffer…Suffer like she had for so, so many years. She crouched and huffed her knees to her chest with her head cocked further to the side. “H-help me,” he pleaded quietly, “p-please.”
She felt the wind on either side of her shift, but she didn’t raise her head to look. She didn’t have to because she could feel who they were due to something within her mind…body…soul. “Burn him,” growled the deep voice.
“Kill him,” hissed the light voice.
“Eat him,” they ordered together right in her ears.
The young girl reached out her hand and touched his. Her head cocked to the other side as she clasped her hand. She stared into the man’s eyes with an innocent look, and the man relaxed. His scream suddenly filled the air when she tore off his arm without any reaction. She quickly moved away in a crouch and began to devour it like candy. She could only take one bite, however, before she coughed it out. She tossed the arm over her shoulder with her emotionless eyes, and he bursted into flames. He burst into flames a few more times so she could hear him scream and see him struggle until he stopped. She slowly crept forward and poked him. Not once, not twice, but three times to make sure he was dead before she stood to her feet.
“This way,” whispered the voices.
Her right hand went warm and left hand went cold. She felt something softly pull her body to a random wall where she stopped. She turned and watched everything for a long moment. She wanted to watch everything burn, but she also wanted to make sure everyone was dead.
“We should exit a different route,” said the deeper voice.
“We don’t have a choice. We’re surrounded,” announced the lighter voice.
“We need to get her out of here,” ordered the deeper voice.
“We will,” assured the light voice, “all it’s going to require is a little fight.”
“We can slip past them if we-” began the deeper voice.
“We’ll let her decide what she wants to do,” interrupted the light voice. “After all, it’s time she has more control of her decisions.”
She silently stood with her body feeling nothing. Not a single emotion or a strand of feeling. She didn’t want a single person to leave the building alive. She found herself tired of running and hiding. She was tired of being chased and hunted. She wanted everyone and everything to feel what she had to feel for so many years.
The young girl turned around and gently placed her palm against the metal. Everything seemed to freeze in time. Nothing moved and nothing was heard before the wall exploded. A large gust of wind brushed past her as the wall burst out and hit cars, other buildings, and people gathered around the place. The flames exploded in front off her and erupted the entrance in bright white flames that melted anything close by. She stretched out her palms and her flames reached toward the sky. The flames slowly traveled up her arms and over her entire body. Her eyes burned drastically, but she didn’t feel any pain. It sent a warmth through her entire body as she continued to be calm, emotionless, and unmoving.
There were so many new sounds she had never heard that entered her ears. It caused her ears to hurt and her head to throb with pain. There were bright lights that shone at her from the sky, and she tried to block it out of her eyes with her hand only to fail. She blinked her painful eyes as many people in black suits moved closer and got into many horzonal lines and pointed red lasers at her chest. The girl whimpered in pain as she tightly closed her eyes and put her hands over her ears. She pressed her palms as hard as she could to block out the irritating sounds, but it didn’t help anything.
Soon, however, the bright lights disappeared. She slowly opened her eyes to find black smoke in the air and all the lights that once shined now broken. Her breathing quickened and her flames quickly scattered at a quick rate over the pavement in reaction. There were multiple loud pops that filled the air, and she could hear multiple small things whistle in the wind.
The young girl put her arms out in front of her to protect her. She slowly looked up after she waited a moment to feel something just to see the bullets inches from her face. The flames grew hotter when her eyes went wide as she watched the metal melt within her flames. She took a step back and squeezed her hands into tight fists.
Suddenly, two men appeared in front of her. They were hard to see because they were a dark black shadow that stood over six feet tall. They both had long hair, but the one on the left seemed to have black solid eyes that glowed while the other one had dark eyes that were blacker than anything she had ever seen. The man on the left lifted out his hand and everyone in the street stood straighter. He hissed and squeezed his hand into a fist. He slammed his hand down and everyone followed. The man on the right held out his own and the metal slowly exited the flames. The metal somehow hardened and became pointed on each end. The man flicked his wrist and sent the sharp weapons toward everyone else.
The young girl found herself going to their aid. She knew they didn’t need anything, but she wanted to help them like they had helped her so many times. She swung her arms in front of her and casted out a ray of flames. There were many loud explosions that filled the air. The normal flames from her destruction turned white as a gagging, foul odor from the smoke filled the air. Things started to melt away in the smoke and those who were not affected by the other attacks coughed violently. They coughed violently, reached for their throats, and their blood splattered on the pavements. Large wounds appeared on their skin, and their bodies slowly and torturously melted to the ground.
All of the damage she, they, had just done should have been enough to satisfy her. It wasn’t though. She craved so much more destruction. She wanted them to pay for everything that she had gone through. She didn’t and wasn’t about to allow anyone to get away from her. No mercy was allowed to be shown from her two allies or herself. No one would ever get mercy from her…
“Do it,” ordered the light voice in her left ear as she felt him touch her shoulder.
“Destroy them,” instructed the deeper voice as he touched her other shoulder.
“Burn them.”
“Kill them.”
“And do it without any mercy,” they whispered together.
With a cry, she slammed her fists into the ground. Fire shot scattered through the earth and exploded through entire buildings. She raised her hands in the air, and her flames reached as high as the tallest skyscraper if not larger. Her flames covered the night sky above and covered the entire town. She was about to create a massacre. All she had to do was close her hands together at any speed she wanted, and the entire town would be no more, but he stopped her.
A man had stepped forward with his hand raised while he covered his face with some sort of mask with the other. The young girl’s eyes went wide at the man’s large built body, and she let out a long and dangerous hiss and growl that synced together. She was tired of men of that size; they all did the same thing to her. It didn’t matter who the person was, their build, or even gender. They were all the same; they did the same things.
“Kill him with your bare hands,” ordered the deep voice.
“We both know you want, you need, you crave a bite,” smirked the other.
The young girl leaped at the man with a cry and knocked him down at speed she didn’t know she had. She was able to pin him by the collar of his shirt with strength that somehow appeared. The flames somehow made a dome beneath her but above him like they had a mind of their own. She liked it because she knew deep inside it kept him still. She had him under her control for as long as she saw fit and right now she wanted to bring him pain.
She pointed her hand at his neck, and the flames created a long sharp blade made from her burning and hot flames. She had hoped to see some type of fear appear in his eyes, but he didn’t have any. She grew angered by it and slipped the blade into his neck. She cocked her head to the side as he hissed in pain, but he barely shifted from it. Even as his skin burned and slowly blistered, although she had not made it to where it should have done so, he barely gave a reaction.
This isn’t what she wanted. It was fear that she craved. Fear was one of the many things that satisfied her. Pain…Bloodshed…Suffering were many others. That’s all she wanted. She wanted to see him suffer. She wanted everyone to suffer like she did for so many days. Weeks. Years.
A lifetime.
Yet he didn’t show anything.
If he wasn’t going to show her what she wanted, then she was going to find someone who would. After she had satisfied her hunger that was.
The young girl bent down and slowly dragged her tongue across his neck to mark the spot she was going to bite into. She made a single cut with her suddenly sharp nail and took in a big whiff of his scent from his blood. She sat back up and felt herself shutter from the intoxicating smell. She found herself unable to wait any longer, so she sank her teeth into the man’s neck.
She only got to take one gulp when she became completely overwhelmed by the images and weird sensations within her own body. Too many emotions were felt inside her with thoughts and voices and images. She didn’t understand how she could forget such a thing. It always happened when she drank from someone, but it ha-d been…such a long time since she had last eaten. All of it was too much for her to handle. It caused her to let go of the man and stagger back. Her breathing quickened as she stepped farther and farther away.
“Fight it…You have to make them pay!” shouted the voices in her head.
She shook out her head to get everything out of her mind as she lifted up her arms. These feelings…the flames….everything. It was too much for her to handle. Her body was growing weaker; her body was shutting down. But she had to make them pay! She had to make everyone suffer like she did, but her body had reached it’s breaking point.
She put her head into a tight squeeze and tightly shut her eyes. Her head twirled as the voices in her head got louder and louder. All her senses heightened, and her body grew warmer to the point she was boiling. A distant scream echoed in her ears as flames blasted from her body and she fell to her knees. Everything extinguished as her eyes rolled into the back of her head and she fell into something soft.
The young girl slightly opened her eyes and looked at a distorted figure. She felt an urge to cry flow to the top of her skin. Tears flowed from her eyes as she fought herself to stay away. She opened her mouth and reached out her hand. It felt like something or someone had ripped open her throat as she tried to speak words for the first time she could remember.
“H..home,” she managed as she looked up at the falling rain.
Her eyes slowly closed as her body went limp. We just want to go home…
