Chapter 1 - Reincarnation Part One
Year 1865,
Just as much as Annabelle wanted to escape from the bandits. That was the same way she wanted to stay and save her mother from them. " Annabelle go!" Annabelle's mother cried as the bandits dragged her away.
~~ Earlier Today ~~
Annabelle and her mother were on their way to the market, they were slaves in the house of the duke. And going to the market on the weekends was normal. Annabelle and her mother were in the carriage. Outside to be precise. Annabelle rode the carriage while her mother sat beside her.
They had left their current town Harvey because what so ever they were in search of was something vampires needed which will either be located in the East or the vampire town, Griffin. When they went into the town of Griffin.
As usuals, they were greeted by the heat of the town which was clear of rainfalls, like it didn't plan to rain anytime soon. Annabelle's hands were already getting tired from holding the reins of the horse.
The large market of the town, Griffin was now in sight. Annabelle rode the carriage into the wide market that had different people and different products.
Annabelle would have been in awe right now but She had been here before. But still she admired the place. It was neat, perfect, and nice. The air was also spectacular.
Annabelle pulled over by a cabbage stall as her and her mother came down to buy. By the time they had bought everything they needed, Annabelle started the carriage as they left the beautiful market.
" Annabelle let's take a shortcut home." Her mother suggested. " Why mother?, let's take the right road." Annabelle suggested . " I know why i said so Anna, the duke is having visitors, we should be home early so as to make lunch for him and the visitors." Her mother said which was right.
Annabelle had forgotten. They changed the route as they followed another way which Annabelle knew was a shortcut.
As they rode into the forest route. Annabelle noticed something was off about this place. Before she entered the forest she had came across a sign that she had no idea of since she was just an uneducated maid.
But she was sure the words on that wood was talking about bandits. After all she worked in the mansion of the duke and had heard him speaking about vampire bandits attacking the town Griffin which they were currently in.
Vampire bandits were the dangerous predators of their town. This creatures were Vampires, also bandits who kidnapped to earn their everyday source of life from the unprotected humans, which was blood.
The more they went into the forest, the more it became darker. And before they knew it, their carriage stopped not wanting to take one next move. ' Oh no, it shouldn't be the works of the bandits' Annabelle prayed within unaware of what to do next .
Annabelle glanced at her mother who was scared too. " Don't worry mother, no need to get scared, I'll fix it right away..." Annabelle said jumping off the carriage. She didn't want to worry her mother who was ill and ageing.
When Annabelle stepped down the carriage. Looking at the tyres, she noticed nothing was wrong with them. No stone or arrow had stopped it from moving. ' Phew' Annabelle sighed out of maximum relief.
She was really scared for her mother. " Annabelle, is everything alright?" Her mother asked. " Yes mother." Annabelle replied. " Then who is this?" Her mother asked as if scared. " Who is who?" Annabelle asked raising up her head to look at her mother, who was staring at a group of men. Five in number. They looked more like vampires, BANDITS...!!.
That was what echoed in Annabelle's head. Fear gripped her like the cold hands of death was about to lay on her, like she was a bed , and it was the sleeping beauty. Annabelle held her breath. Not seeking to move an inch. Her eyes ran from her mother to the bandits, and from the bandits to her mother.
" No!!" Annabelle screamed In tears as the men dragged her mother off the carriage throwing her on the dusty ground. Annabelle's mother screamed in pain as she was too weak to do anything, not even get up. Annabelle cried.
" Please, please let her go, she didn't do anything, she doesn't deserves any of this. Hurt me instead. I- I , kill me instead. Not her, let her go." Annabelle pleaded unbothered by the multiple droplets of tears that streamed down her white cheeks.
Annabelle sniffed, slowly walking to the bandits. " Annabelle dear, what are you saying?, no kill me instead. Annabelle run!!, save yourself. Annabelle, I have lived to the fullest. But you, you haven't begun your future yet, run Annabelle run." Her mother cried.
Seeing the tears in her mother's eyes made Annabelle's Heart shaken as if stabbed. The love she had for her mother was beyond any other. The bandits watched the two cry. And getting impatient. One buried his face in her mother's neck dipping his fangs in her.
' Ahh!!!' Came the scream from mother. Annabelle was in shock. Huge Shock. Just as much as Annabelle wanted to escape from the bandits. That was the same way she wanted to stay and save her mother from them. " Annabelle go!" Annabelle's mother cried as the bandit sucked her dry.
Annabelle watched her mother's head fall off her body. That was it, she was gone. Annabelle felt heartbroken. She saw the vampire lick his already stained lips as he stared at her with noticeable lust. He wasn't just planning to suck her dry.
But he was also interested in sleeping with her. Annabelle saw the lust which the men threw at her. That's when she wanted to run. She turned around about to run away, When the men surrounded her in a flash.
" Where do you think you're going beautiful?" One asked with a husky voice as he touch her cheeks with the back of his fingers. Annabelle's breathing had turned uneven as she was scared.
" Don't breathe too much now darling, what will you do when it hurts, huh?" He asked to which Annabelle's eyes grew big as he smiled at her expression towards his words.
