Chapter 1
I was late for my delivery again and it was getting seriously annoying. I sped off on my old motorcycle, clipping my helmet on with one hand. I switched on my phone with the other and checked where my drop off point was, not realising I was on the wrong side of the road. I looked up just in time and swerved. The car behind me didn't seem to care and carried on at full speed and bumped straight into me, flinging me across the road. I bumped my head against a fence as my motorcycle came crashing on top of my leg. I heard I sharp crack and grimaced.
I realised I was at the right place so I pushed the motorcycle off me and took out the pizzas. I could see a big blue bruise forming on my knee. I stood up and felt jets of pain shoot up my leg and into my spine. I groaned as I limped towards the door. Before I got there it was flung out and a man wearing a pollution mask came running out towards me." Are you ok? I saw what happened." He said, worry in his voice. I handed him the food and plastered a pained smile on my face. "I'm fine, no need to worry. I'll be on my way now." I said, slightly wobbling. His eyes darted to my bruised leg and then to my wrecked motorcycle." I don't think you're ok or if you're going anywhere with that bike." He said. I was about to start arguing with him but before I could, my leg gave way. I yelped as he catched me just before I hit the ground. He put his arm around my shoulder supporting me to the front door." Come inside I'll call and ambulance." He said calmly. I shook my head furiously." I need to get back to work, they'll fire me if I don't. You can't call an ambulance." I said.
I sat down on the couch and touched my knee. It felt like a normal bruise but I knew it wasn't from the amount of pain. I had probably cracked my kneecap. I felt around my head and realised it was swelling. The guy came back with an ice pack in one hand and his phone in the other." I'm telling you that you can't call an ambulance." I said as he kneeled down and held the pack to my knee, a smirk hidden behind his mask." You've literally just met up in an accident and don't want me to call an ambulance?" He asked. I nodded. " First of all, I can't pay for hospital fees, second of all, I'm going to miss my classes tomorrow and I can't miss it. Thirdly I need to get back to the restaurant or else I'll be fired and that means no money, which means, no paying rent, which means no home." I said half whining." I can pay for the hospital fees and I'm sure your employers will understand that you got hurt." He said switching on his phone." Thanks but no thanks. My employers are not lenient." I said. He began dialing and my eyes widened with worry. Without thinking I jumped up and grabbed his phone from his hand ignoring the sharp pains in my ribcage. I sat down with his phone clasped in my hands." Who are you anyway? It's creepy that you still have your mask on." I said looking up at him. He sighed and didn't answer me but asked another question." Did you get hurt anywhere else?" He asked. I showed him the swelling on my head before hesitantly rolling up my shirt. I could make out my six pack abs and the bone structure of my ribcage. There was a huge purple bruise where the motorcycle handles had hit me. That's probably another two broken bones, I thought to myself. I looked at him and noticed a pained expression on his face." I'll go get you more ice packs." He said before retreating away softly.
He came back and handed me the ice packs before sitting in front of me." Sooo....what's your name?" I tried again. He sighed." Just try not to freak out." He said before taking off his mask. I took me a moment to place his face and when I did I gasped. Min Yoongi! I wasn't shocked because he was famous or anything like that. It was because I realised that I had met him three years ago not realising who he was.
FLASHBACK
I was lost. Desperately lost. I stared at my phone screen, annoyed. I had stupidly forgot to take my mother's new phone number. It was my second day living in South Korea and instead of getting easier it was getting increasingly harder. I sat down on a bench and went through my pockets. I didn't have any money to get a cab. I tried typing my 'mother's' number from memory. Once I was convinced it was right I confidently sent 'her' my live location and told 'her' about my dire situation. I waited fifteen minutes and when I noticed 'she' was online but wasn't answering my messages I got more annoyed. I decided to send 'her' a voice note to emphasize my situation. A minute later a message was sent: I think you've got the wrong number but I could help. I was desperate so I typed back: Please and thank you I really need to get home. They typed back almost immediately: You're right outside my house, I'll give you money for a cab.
I turned around and saw a person around my age with short hair and a muscular figure waving to me from his front door. I walked over to him." Thank you so much, I'm sorry for troubling you." I said bowing my head. He seemed frozen for a moment. He snapped out of it, smiled and handed me the money. I thanked him again." I can pay you back as soon as possible." I said. He shook his head. " There's no need for that and you won't find me anyway." He said. I nodded before turning around and walking to the street.
That was Min Yoongi's house. That was Min Yoongi. And he was frozen for a moment because I didn't recognise him.
END OF FLASHBACK
"I recognised you almost immediately." He said. I sat frozen in shock." How didn't I know?" I asked myself more than him. He gave me a tight smile." I'm guessing you're not a fan from your 'unsurprised' expression." He said. I jerked myself out of my thoughts. I neutralised my face before answering him. " Not a hater or a fan. I'm more into girl groups." I said. I began to notice my white shirt turning see-through because of the ice. I heard the wail of a siren not too far away. I looked at him. He was wearing a guilty expression." I might have called an ambulance." He said. I groaned as an ambulance stopped outside." You don't know what you've just done." I said as he put his arm around my shoulder and supported me to the vehicle.
