Chapter 1
Kayla's POV
"Kayla,Kelvin stop running around and get dressed quickly"Mom shouted
"Mummy it is Kelvin,he refuse to give me my shoes"I told my mum still chasing Kelvin
"It's a lie mummy,it's actually my shoes not hers"Kelvin defended still running around
"Kelvin give your sister her shoes. Yours is here. You brought it here yourself" Mum said dressing Kenny up. Kelvin looked up to where my mum was and saw his own pair of shoe
"You see!!!They are mine"I jeered at him and snatched the shoes from him. You know,its just so annoying sharing similar pair of clothing with ones so called twin sister or brother. You guys literally have to fight each time you guys choose to wear the same clothing on whose own this is and whose own that is. And some people find it nice and cute e.g my mum,it just annoys me
"Whatever"Kelvin said rolling his eyes and walking over to where my mom was to wear his shoes,I guess while I sat down at the bottom of the stairs to wear mine. I wore my shoes and also tie the lace in my own unique way. After tying my shoes,I ran upstairs to my room,took my phone,my headband,headphone and also my bag and ran downstairs. On getting downstairs, I met Mom,Dad and Kenny seated on the couch
"I guess you were all waiting for me" I said,kinda announcing my presence
"Yeah and also you brother"Dad said pointing towards the direction of the dining. I turned towards the direction and saw Kelvin eating again. God please help me. Don't let the devil use me. I don't want to commit murder neither do I want to go to prison,I still very much young
"Kelvin,can you please drop that food and lets get going"I said trying to show my frustration in my tone
"Why should I?I mean it's my birthday and I have to shop for the rest of the day" Kelvin said.God why is this boy just so dumb and annoying at the same time. Can't he just give up one?
"And if I could remember,this is the third time you are eating just this morning"I said
"Kay, let your brother be and come and sit down,we still have enough time"Mum said
"Mummy you know how your son is he is such a time waster"I said walking over to where my parent and younger brother is and sitting with them
"You guys don't act like twin at all"Dad said
"He is just so annoying sometimes"I replied. Wait, did I just say sometimes?Nah,Kelvin is always annoying.
"And you know you can't do without him"Mum said. Huh? Hmm Dey play.
"Of course I can do extra well without him"I replied. Emphasis on the "extra well".
"Let's just not argue it"Mom said. "Yeah,let's not argue it". Whenever a discussion between I and Mom is leading to an argument, Mom is really quick to end the discussion because she knows when it comes to debates,I am the real definition of IDAN.
Finally,After 15minutes,my twin brother finished eating his third round of breakfast. We all got ready,took our picnic mat and lunch basket and went to the car. I and annoying Kelvin clocked 12 today and Mom and Dad decided that we should go shopping and picnic to celebrate. My Dad sat at the driver's seat, My Mom sat close to him at the passenger's seat,I and Kelvin at the back and Kenny at our middle. Kennedy is our 5 year old brother. Sometimes he is a talkative and sometimes he is so quiet. I think the quiet vibe was the vibe on him right now. Dad drove out of the house and also out of the estate to the highway. When we were 15 minutes drive to the supermarket,we noticed a trailer coming with a very high speed,I think should be at 120mph,towards us. Dad tried to avoid the trailer but instead we got involved in a very fatal accident with another car.
I feel pain everywhere in my body especially my head,it is banging really hard.I looked around and found Mum,Dad, Kenny and some people I couldn't recognize lying on the main road. I don't know, but it seems as if they weren't breathing. I tried to find Kelvin but before I could, my eyes went shut and everything went blank.
