Anastasia
“Ughugh” Anstasia groaned as she rolled over and snoozed her alarm. It is 5:30 in the morning and Anastasia has to be at the airport by 6:30, and she hasnt even packed yet. “Shit! “ Anastasia jumped out of bed. “I didn’t realize it was already 5:30! I’m going to be late!”
Anastasia just turned 18, three days ago. She has already accepted a dream job postion at Dupree Publishing, which was in Seattle. The number one publishing company in the world. Anastasia’s dream has always been to work at Dupree publishing comapny. She admired everything about the comoany and always had her updated research about them. The company was run by the strongest pack in the world, the Moon Blood Pack. The CEO of the company was Alpha Greyson Dupree. Greyson was never pictured by the press, and never seem to be at the company so Anastasia figured she would never meet him.
“ SHIT SHIT SHIT, I HAVE TO GO!” Anastasia hurriedly packed and was out the door before she could even blink. “Oh, i hope i got everything i needed.” She thought. As Anastasia was on the way to the airport she texted her mom, who she didn’t get to say bye to because the had an important pack meeting out of town. Her mom promised her she would come visit her as soon as she returned. Anastasia was part of the Paxon Moon Pack. A very powerful pack, but not close to being as strong as the Blood Moon Pack.
When Anastasia got her seat on the plane she began to get comfortable and start to instantly doze off. “I want you.” Said an unfamiliar voice. Anastasia turned around to find Greyson. Greyson freaking Dupree. “Um…..ex-excuse me?” She said, with a stunned look. “I said, i want YOU.” Greyson repeated, starung at her with his big blue eyes. “Uh, im sorry i think you have the wrong person.” Explained Anastasia. “No, I cam see exactly who Im talking to.” Greyson said, walking closer to Anastasia.
“And I said, i want you.” He said, leaning closer to her face.
Suddenly Anastasia was woken up by turblance on the plane. She looked around confused. “That was a pretty intense dream. Its like i could feel it.” She thought.
Anastasia arived in Seattle just a few hours later. “ugh, that flight was…..was something different thats for sure.” She thought. She couldnt help but replay the dream she had on the plane in her head the rest of the day. After getting settled into her hotel room, she decided she needed some food. “Should i call in food or go eat out? Hmm” she thought. Anastasia figured she could go and explore Seattle while trying to find some food.
After getting out of the shower and getting dressed it was around 6 o’clock in the evening. Anastasia was researching some good places to eat, and noticed the publishing company was right around the corner. “Hm what a good place to start.” She thought. As she was leaving the hotel Anastasia smelled something different, it was good but different. She just thought maybe it was because she was in a different city and didnt think anything about it.
“OH MY GOD!” Anastasia was in awe about seeing Seattle for the first time. She has never been to a bigger city, her hometown is small and maybe 1,000 people. Nothing too extravagant, so to see so many people was a delight to her. Anastasia took in the views as she walked and passed the publishing company. Thats when she smelled that same smell she noticed back at the hotel. “Hm, must be close around here. Someone must be cooking or soemthing.” She thought.
After walking about 3 blocks Anastasia found her destination. A small ma and pop diner. She was a aucker for some good fresh food. Anastasia made her way inside, when she opened the door it was like heaven in her ears, as she soaked in all the beautiful decore she didn’t even realize everyone was staring at her until she opened her eyes. “Oh, im so sorry. I didn’t mena to interupt. Its my first time here. “ she explained. They all continued to stare, but not in an uncomfortable way, in a way she kinda cherished. Its like they were all in Awe of her.
After finding her seat, she decided to just get some fried and a burger since she hasn’t ate since yesterday morning. Everyone continued to look and talk as she ate, eventually making her uncomfortable. “Ill take the check please.” Anastasia smiled at the waitress. “Oh, honey you haven’t even ate half of your food. Are you sure you’re ready so soon?” She asked. Anastasia looked around and looked back at the waitress. The waitress quickly added, “Oh, sweetheart they aren’t staring at you to be rude. They are staring at you because you are the prettiest thing that this town has ever seen.” Looking at her i could feel my face instantly hest up. “Oh thats so sweet, but im sure there has been prettier girls.” Anastasia said.
“Oh no no no, you are one of a kind. If I had my way you’d be working here and bringing all the costumer and tips in. You are breathtaking. Your guy must be one lucky fellow.” The waitress smiled. “Oh, im not seeing anyone. Im here for my new job at the Dupree Publishing Company.” She explained. “oh wow! That is a hard spot to get into you. You better not let that job go!” The waitress smiled. “Yeah, I’m excited! I start tomorrow, so I better get going so i can get enough sleep!” Anastasia said, bouncing up and handing the waitress the bill and money. “You be careful out there, and make sure tou come back tomorrow and let me know hoe your first day was.” The waitress winked. “Of course, I will see you tomorow.” She smiled back at the waitress and left the diner. “That was so starnge. Why was everyone just staring at me?” She asked herself.
On the walk to the hotel Anastasia walked passed the Dupree Publishing Company, but this time she didn’t smell what she smelled earlier. “Hm, must have just been someone cooking something.” She thought. As she reached her doorstep, she turned around and admired the city light one last time before going in. “I can’t believe i finally made it. “she inhaled and walked inside. After showering and getting unpacked Anastasia laid in bed thinking about how weird the day had been. From the dream she had on the plane, to the strange smell she inhaled outside the publsihing comoany, to all the people staring at her in the diner. She thought maybe it was jet lag or something. After a few minutes of having a rerun of the day, Anasatsia fell fast asleep.
