Chapter 1

"Well, well, if you come here and pay $15, you will be able to get help with your future. You will see the true vision."

Looking at the poster, Sam said, "Ah, really! But it only shows visions about academics, career, jobs, and work-related matters. Do I really need to see my vision? Let's find out."

He went inside and said, "Hello, Mr. Thomas." Mr. Thomas replied, "Well, Hello Mr.gentleman, how can I help you?"

"I don't know what kind of job I will do," Sam said.

Mr. Thomas replied, "As a young man, you can explore a lot of things and see if you really want to do them. If you really want one, think for a second about which job you want to do and which one you can actually do. Often, we choose jobs that we think right for us, but later we realize that we can't do this job; it's hard for us. Look through the pros and cons."

Sam said, "I have a couple of jobs in my mind. Would you like to listen to them?"

Mr. Thomas replied, "Yes, I'd love to." Sam told him what kind of job he needed, and Mr. Thomas asked him about his hobbies, work experience, and a lot more things. With Mr. Thomas's help, Sam got plenty of ideas in his mind.

Sam reached into his pocket. To his horror, he couldn't find his wallet. He realized that he had only brought his phone with him. He apologized.

Thomas said, "It's fine; you can just put your name and contact info."

He said, "I have written my name and contact info here for you to contact me. You can call me during the evening if I don't give you the money within 2 days."

He walked out of the office. He saw a notification on his phone. He called his friend while standing on the sidewalk. He talked to his friend for a while. As he finished he turned his back towards the left side. He was coming toward his car when he saw Mr. Thomas having a meltdown outside of the office. He reached out to him and said, "Hey, Mr. Thomas, if you are feeling unwell, you can talk to me. I might not be a big help to you, but I will try my best."

Mr. Thomas thought, "It is okay to tell the boy because he is a stranger." Mr. Thomas told Sam, "I think I am not enough for my family."

Sam asked, "Why do you think that way?"

Mr. Thomas replied, "My daughter wanted to go to a makeup class, but I couldn't afford it. My wife saw a social media story of Jen and her husband going on vacation. I realized there are a lot of things I can't do for them. I feel terrible."

Mr. Thomas's voice quivered with a mixture of frustration and self-doubt as he spoke about his family's needs.

Sam extended a reassuring hand towards Mr. Thomas, offering his support as they stood on the sidewalk.

Sam said, "Mr. Thomas, you are more than enough for them. Don't think badly about yourself."

Mr. Thomas said, "I wish I wasn't like that."

Sam said, "Text your family how much you love them. See what they say."

Mr. Thomas texted his family. After 5 minutes, his wife responded by saying, "We love you too, honey. Our daughter had the biggest smile when she heard this. She said, 'I love you, Daddy.'"

Mr. Thomas couldn't control his tears any longer. Sam said, "See, Mr. Thomas, if they were here for money, they wouldn't be sticking with you in our tough times. Family is about unconditional love, not materialistic things."

Mr. Thomas said, "I need to live because my family needs me."

Sam said, "You need them too."

Sam's words were a soothing balm for Mr. Thomas's worried soul, offering solace in the face of his financial troubles.

Mr. Thomas said, "You don't have to pay for the session. You have repaid me by helping me ease my emotions. Without you, I could have never seen the true vision."
