Chapter 1

My name is Kaya Smith, and I live in a small valley in called Fairy meadows. It is beautiful, with mountains and rivers. I am an orphan, but I had someone in my life: my grandma. My grandpa had died long ago. Grandma was a sweet lady; she owned a bakery, and I worked there with her. I had no parents, and grandma didn’t like to talk about them. I remember asking her about them when I was six; she was caught off guard and started to cry. That scared me, so I never mentioned them again. I worked with grandma until she died when I was sixteen. I had studied at the public school; I was always smart, and I even skipped a few grades. I always got too much attention at school. You see, I have raven-black hair and deep green eyes, plus my figure was one of those which you call hourglass. So, I decided to wear loose-fitting clothes. My grandma’s wish was for me to reach high places; she wanted me to go to Oxford. So after she died, I went to Englnd and got accepted to Oxford on a scholarship. The city was expensive, so I got a job at a laundromat.

PARIS IN THE DARK

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel

Gallandro7: I originally added this because it looked interesting and I was curious how the mate process would go. Ashley: I enjoyed the story. It was a short one so the fast pace fit. I think something should be put in to show a time jump between paragraphs like a "****" just to make it easier to follow when we skip to the next day week or month. Over all a good read.
