Spy Team:

William Spencer

Johnny Wooden

Carlos Smith

PS. A bunch of thirteen year old kids that spy on Ceasel.

William:” Carl! Stop chewing your chips so loudly! We’re going to get caught!” Whispered to William with irritation.

Carl: “Well maybe if you weren’t so impatient I would’ve already eaten dinner and not having to eat these nasty chips.” said Carl.

Johnny: “ Carl you were in a hurry to get here too.” said Johnny all smug behind the safety of the big green bush.

William: “Yeah Carl! What Johnny boy said!”

Johnny:” You call my name with a boy in it again like an old man. I’m going to push you into the ice lake water.”

Carl: “ Hey! He’s looking guys, shut up!”

Instantly the three spies stopped talking because their fear of dying was greater and bigger than their urge to talk back to each other. They dropped low to the ground. It seemed Ceasel had heard them.

Carl:” I think we are safe guys.”

William-Johnny:” Thank Jesus!”

Then a scream filled the air, a scream William and Johnny knew as their friend Carl’s. The two boys turned and they saw Ceasel Orgion with a gun pointed at Carl. Everyone was quiet and still, like a single movement would make him pull the trigger.

William:”H-H-Hey Ceasel. Huh, what have you been doing?”

Johnny: “Shut up William! Stop talking before he decides to shoot Carl!” Johnny hissed through clenched teeth.

Ceasel: “Oh this? 'Squirt, squirt' It’s just a water gun.”

The boys looked down and ashamed, especially Carl who was almost at the blink of tears. William on the other hand was at the brink of cracking up in laughter.

William:” HAHAHA! I can’t believe it! We fell for a water gun!”

Johnny-Carl:” SHUT UP WILLIAM!”

The boys grew quiet again as a voice with a low pitch barked questions.

Ceasel: Number one: “Why were you following me, Number two: Why do you think I would actually have a gun?”

William: WE weren’t following you. We were just following a butterfly.” Said William, thinking ever so cleverly for that lie.

Johnny: “Idiot! Is that the best you could come up with!?”

Carl just sat and said not a word for his shame blocked him. As the boys bickered, Ceasel grew bored and looked at his watch.

Ceasel: “Alright Willy if you can’t entertain me any longer I’ll take my leave, see you later.”

The boys just stared at each other and inside their chest washed a wave of relief for they had not died today.

Carl:”Hey now that I think of it, why did he only say bye to William.”

Johnny: “Do you think he plans on killing Willy?”

William:”Hey! Don’t call me “Willy” and he doesn’t plan to kill me, maybe he just means we’re on good terms.

Carl:”Doubt it, Johnny’s reason seems more likely.”

Johnny:”So it settles it, case closed.”

Johnny-Carl:”Goodbye Willy, rest in peace.”

William:”Screw you guys!I'm going home!”

Off ran William leaving the two boys to mourn for their poor friend though they couldn’t help but chuckle a couple times.William ran home and opened the door. He was not shocked to see the sight in front of him.

William may have always seemed happy but inside that beating heart of his was fear and angst waiting to break through his wall. In front of him was his mother, his father, a bag of beer cans, and an ashtray full of cigarette buds. Of Course his parents were fighting, covered with bruises, and blood leaking down their fists. The boy with a smile just shut the door in front of him and stayed outside where it was safe.

He walked and walked for what seemed for so long until he stopped at a bench all the way across town. It was getting dark but he just sat and stared straight in front of him even if there was nothing in sight that interested him.

Ceasel: “ You don’t plan on sleeping here all night do you?” asked a low cold voice.

William jumped suddenly from being interrupted from his daydream.

William:”Go away” said William on the brink of tears.

Ceasel never really did cry but he could still tell that William was about to because of his wavering voice. So Ceasel sat right by William. William didn’t realize it was Ceasel at first and now had anxiety that threated to pool out of his mouth.

Ceasel:”So, what are you doing here?”

William:”Nothing, just went on a walk.”

Ceasel: “I think your walk went past the limit.”

William:”So?”

Ceasel:”Well it’s going to get cold soon and I think you should go home before it does.”

William just sat there afraid of what’s at home more than Ceasel and all the secrets he contained.

Ceasel:”Okay then, here, you’re most likely gonna want this” said Ceasel who handed William a soft warm blanket.

The boys curled up next to each other and Ceasel decided to stay for as long as William stayed. Truth be told, neither boy wanted to go home, the sights they saw would scare them forever.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...
