Chapter 1
On a cold night, three teenagers named Ally, Sarah, and Adele decided to play a prank on Sarah's younger sister and went to set up a trap in the woods. However, the weather turned and it started raining heavily followed by thunder and lightning. To take shelter, they found an old abandoned house in the distance and decided to go inside.
While Adele stayed at the door, Ally and Sarah went in to search for a spot to sleep for the night. After a while, they returned to Adele, who told them she saw someone in the hallway but knew that her friends were upstairs. Adele felt terrible about helping with the prank on Ava, who was only five years old. She knew that Ava could get traumatized by the experience, but she still forced herself to do it, regretting her decision later.
Meanwhile, Sarah and Ally were planning on finding a way to bring Ava to the house. Sarah had always harbored a deep dislike for Ava, even though Ava had never done anything wrong to her. Sarah believed that Ava was loved more, spoiled, and annoying. She had hated Ava ever since she was born, feeling that her younger sister was taking away all the attention and love she used to get as the only child. Sarah was determined to make Ava feel scared to teach her a lesson.
As the night wore on, the girls started to feel scared, and Adele was the first to suggest they leave the house and go back home. They all agreed, and they left the old abandoned house in the morning, feeling relieved to be out of there. Sarah and Ally never spoke about the prank again, and Adele never accompanied them to that house again, as she couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt that lingered with her.
