Chapter 1

Chapter-1

The wind felt too strong, she had been looking out of the car window. The breeze made her go into a deep thinking mode.

She could not believe she was leaving her home town.Reshma was a very different and calm girl. She had very few friends. But her best friend was her dog- ‘Suhana ‘ ,a small Pomeranian , who always stuck by Reshma’s side no matter what.

Reshma was going to shift with her maternal grandparents. Her Dad died recently and her mom was working very hard to pay for her daughter’s expenses . Reshma was going to study Medicine .

The college that she got was in Hamirpur - Dr. Radhakrishnan Govt Medical College.

She originally lived in Indore , Madhya Pradesh. This change of place was a turning point in her life. As she was getting closer towards her grandparents’ home; tears began rolling down her face. Her dog came and sat in her lap , as if comforting her.

Reshma’s eyes were still watering , she silently let her tears flow. Her mother knew her daughter was crying, but she could not do anything . Her mother was named -‘ Rooh’. Her mother was very soft hearted , she taught her daughter that humanity comes above all , and that kindness is a language that even the deaf can hear, even the blind can see and even a small baby can understand.

Because of the teachings of her mother, Reshma was also very kind, shy ,introverted but very intelligent. While her mother drove through the curvy road, Reshma pictured her dad . Every evening when her Dad returned from work , he used to lift five year old Reshma and swing her in the air. The entire house used to be filled with her giggles and laughter.

Five year old Reshma even had a best friend- her big fluffy teddy bear. She named her teddy bear- Mr. Sitara. In her eyes her teddy was like some star only. The innocence that Reshma had back then as a kid, she still had the same innocence. And her big-big round eyes used to sparkle like some gemstone. Coupled with this she had beautiful eyelashes too. She was quite fair just like her mom. But in having heart shaped face , and small pink lips just like some natural flower petals, she resembled her Dad more.

Reshma’s tears did dry due to the wind ,but still the heaviness she felt in her heart was nowhere getting back to warmth, just by this wind. Still Reshma carried on as she trusted her Prabhu more than anyone else.

Muslim girl following Hinduism, quite strange is it, but you can understand this only by continuing this journey with our beloved Reshma !😌💗
