Samurai Introduction

Stickman stood on a hill overlooking a village near the harbor with his comrade, Rekisu Yamatori, a purple-haired young samurai with silver-colored armor. “Aren’t the cherry blossoms just beautiful?” gushed Stickman, “For now, yes,” Rekisu Yamatori replied coldly. “We must always be prepared; I have a gut feeling that the Spartans and the other Medieval Kingdoms won’t be at peace for much longer. All it takes is one last straw to trigger an all-out war.”

In the distance, a man on a horse approached, holding a halberd. “General Yamatori, General Stickman,” he said, “The council requests your presence, get your horses.” “Understood, Commander Rayden.” Commander Rayden is Stickman’s second most loyal ally, after Rekisu Yamatori.

Rekisu and Stickman got on their horses and headed towards the city of Shimikawa where the council holds their meetings. Two days later they arrived, and they went straight to the capital building where the council meeting was being held. Once there, Commander Rayden said, “Please go in generals, I will wait for you out here.” The duo walked in and sat on their respective tatami mats. “Ahem,” Rekisu Yamatori cleared his throat. “Good evening, gentlemen. May I ask what this meeting is about?”

Yamashita Masanori, the headmaster of the eastern lands, spoke first. “General Yamatori, we had discovered spies from the Medieval kingdoms on my lands. I believe they might be preparing for an attack. We are isolated by sea on all sides, so the enemy must attack by sea. General Yamatori, you are most likely to be attacked, so the council has decided to send you a battalion of our best warriors, the black ninjas, and three battalions of elite samurai to assist you.” “Understood, sir!” said Rekisu. “I shall ask my people to treat them with respect and hospitality.”

The council meeting continued for several more hours, and the council members even took a break to eat dinner, which mainly consisted of fish and sushi. After a few more hours of deliberation, everyone’s problems were mostly solved. “General Yamatori,” Yamashita Masanori said, “I would like to give you the honor of ending the council meeting.” “Yes, sir,” Rekisu replied. “Council adjourned.”

After exiting the meeting, Rekisu Yamatori, Stickman, and Commander Rayden met up. “Let’s go for a duel; I think we need to practice our fighting skills after this long journey,” “I am tired,” said Stickman. “Let’s start the duel the next morning.” The next morning, they went into an arena and started to go against each other.

Rekisu Yamatori drew his family sword, a sword that could harness the souls of his defeated enemies and use it for energy. (Side note: The more powerful the enemy, the stronger it would make the sword.) It had a bright blue aura, and it could fire a sharp energy wave at its enemies. Stickman drew both of his katanas; they were blood red and were called “Dual Blood Blades.” Their ability was similar to Rekisu’s family sword, but instead of absorbing the souls, they absorbed the blood of enemies. This blood could then be used to heal Stickman or to form blood spike projectiles. The more blood he absorbed, the more attacks he could perform. Rekisu’s family sword could use the energy wave ability even without ever absorbing souls, but Stickman could not use his blood spikes without blood. There have been instances when Stickman would sacrifice his blood to use his abilities. Commander Rayden had his Jade halberd, which was green. The blade had a metal coating, and with a press of a button, the metal coating would slide open, revealing the blade made from translucent jade. It would then absorb the light around him for a light beam attack. The brighter the light, the stronger the attack.

The duel started. The rules of the duel were simple: anyone who got a confirmed hit on the opponent eliminated them, and the last person left standing wins. Rekisu started off strong by firing an energy wave at Stickman (Note: In the beginning of the fight, both Rekisu and Stickman emptied their soul and blood supply into jars to keep the fight fair), but Stickman dodged. Then he stabbed himself in the chest using minimal blood to heal himself while firing homing blood projectiles at his other two opponents. Rekisu replied by slicing the blood projectiles in half like any normal person would, but Rayden opened the coating, creating a light beam so hot that it evaporated the blood. “I think that’s a bit overkill,” Rekisu thought. Meanwhile, Rayden, being focused on Stickman, failed to notice Rekisu Yamatori charging full speed at him. He struck a solid hit, and Rayden was out of the duel. Then both of them fired their ranged attacks, and both dodged it. Rekisu was hesitant to engage Stickman in sword-to-sword combat since Stickman has two, but he had no choice. Stickman was charging at him, and they clashed swords. They parried each other’s attacks repeatedly until Rekisu found an opening and shot his energy wave at Stickman, eliminating him and winning the duel.
