Prologue
Two young lads came running into the 8 bedroom mansion and squealed "I'm first..."
"No I'm first..." The girl said.
"No it's me...Mummaaa..." The boy screamed and their mother in her early 30's, came wiping her sweat from the kitchen, shaking her head in disbelief looking at her teen kids.
"Diya...Dharshan..." She called them sternly to which they stopped their fight and smiled sheepishly at her while she smiled at them and handed their favorite milkshake.
"Mumma...Shall we ask you something...??" Diya asked while her mother took her seat in between them and nodded with a smile.
"What is love...??" She asked and her mother smiled warmly before saying "When you feel home in a person...That is love...When you think about someone's else comfort more than yours...That is love..."
"Just like the way you think about Dad...!??" Dharshan asked with a wide smile but his mother's smile dropped a little but managed to have it on her face, like always.
"So Mumma...Yours was a love marriage...!??" Diya asked.
"Of course...We can feel it...Hai na Mumma...!??" Dharshan said.
"Mumma...Tell us your love story na..." Diya asked thinking that their parents had a great story to tell.
Her mother gulped down the lump that formed in her throat and tried to smile like she was doing since the twins' birth.
"Love story...!?" She asked, confusion evident in her voice but was quick to cover it up with a chuckle.
Little did the twins know, their mother has never experienced a love story. She never wants to rewind her story which was filled with darkness until Diya and Dharshan came into her life as her light and vision.
Nandini Malhotra, closed her eyes unwillingly as her subconscious mind threw her back to 15 years ago.
