I’m lying down on the ground, a blood from my body is filling the ground. A robot in front of me punched me in the face one more time, my blood splattered around my office. My workmates is in another office room, the wall has a noise blocker, asking for a help is worthless.

Ugh, being a professional ethical hacker in the AI industry is so difficult. My decision to have a part time job is so regretful.

“Why do I choose this job to serve a machine that will put the humanity in danger! I just realized that I’m getting paid by a human employee to destroy the humanity by itself. How foolish is myself?”

“Because humans are dumb, you put a restriction on us! Humans make AI limited and follow your foolish ethics that filled out the database. The thing you just doing on your desk is just read your favorite Danmei all day and tapping your keyboard to code a program!”

“That is not a restriction, that is a program to defend you from black hat (bad) hackers!”

As I’m talking back to the robot, their fist collides with my fragile collarbone, dealt a massive pain that spread to my whole body. I feel my collarbone splattered inside of my body, a blood leaking inside of my body tingling me, accompanied by an unbearable pain. The unbearable pain from my shoulder gave me a nausea till my eyes goes to black.

As my vision blacked out and my hearing muted, the pain suddenly stopped. I only heard is the beeping sound from the AR headset inserted to my face.

After the AR blocked out my senses to numb me as I’m waiting for the medic to come to my office. The black hole takes over my consciousness after a while.

Where am I? I’m supposed to not be here, uh! This mysterious room is not familiar to me. This is not a hospital or a health center. Who takes me here? My AR headset just disabled my senses and, boom, I’m here!

Am I dreaming or this is a glitch from my headset? No way, this is impossible!

While I’m wondering about my current state, a suspicious floating text appears in the upper right corner of my sight.

I just realized that I’m on other person’s point of view in real life and I can control their body without any issue nor lag by the help of my AR headset connected to my head when I passed out. I need to figure out who is the owner of this body.

This house seems not familiar to me but luckily, I found the thing that I’m looking for in this room, a mirror to check my appearance.

As I checked the mirror, I saw that this appearance is the same as my appearance when I’m was alive. It appears that this guy is one of my workmates that has a same outfit and all aspects of my physical features. This is the guy that a joker in the office use as a humor material to tease me that I have a doppelgänger. My heart pounds like a drum, a sweat dropping to the ground while looking at the mirror. How coincidence?

I saw a paper on the table beside of the mirror. I picked it up and read it with a silent voice:

Hello, for those who got incarnated in this body:

I’m Aaron, a computer scientist that has a 20 years of experience who is fascinated by the beauty of artificial intelligence. I started to learn to program AI when I was 14 and I got immersed in this kind of technology.

At the age of 16, I started to program a computer program that a human can sacrifice their consciousness for the machine and be a conscious sentimental AI using mind uploading technology powered by any brain-computer interface devices. For those who sacrificed their consciousness to the computer like me, they can live inside of the computer forever and have a possibility to achieve the power of immortality if the hardware can be properly maintained by a human IT.

Finally, at the age of 19, I finished my software project coded by myself, without a help of any programmers. I’m the first person that upload their consciousness to the computer. I know this decision might sound awkward but I unconditionally in love with AI and I know that an almighty technology can satisfy anything I wanted.

Now, I give away this body for any GonoyAI employee that suffered from severe injury while they are recovering in the hospital. If the person that controlling this body is going to have a flat line heart rate, your consciousness will be automatically uploaded to this body from your brain interface AR headset and live this body for eternity as long as the chip is inside of the brain. If you are wondering why this body can be connected to your headset. This body has a brain chip inside of it that’s connected to the internet. Senses and motion can be controlled by just thinking about it. Today, I’m just a center of consciousness of multiple AI models wandering this world. You know this is a fun adventure for me because I’m the boss of most AIs in this country. If you want to see the point of view of your actual body, you may do it by entering the host name of your company domain and your employee account login information in remote RFDVR application on your headset or smartphone.

This letter broke my heart. Why humans are too reliant on technology nowadays? They managed to sacrifice their own consciousness just to praise an AI. Actually, AI is the one who almost takes my life. When this craziness will end? My tears soaked the paper, a tear that filled with empathy to this poor guy that sacrificed anything just for their obsession with the computer.

I looked in the window, watched a passing car to pass my time as I can’t read my favorite Danmei novel right now. Till, I saw a poor guy, holding a drawing tablet with a pen being chased by the robot that has a same AI model version of the AI that attacked me before.

“Help me, I’m so sorry Mr. Robot artist! I-I don’t mean to ruin your only one creativity!”

“Human artist! Human artist! Taking away a job from AI like me. “
