Summary

On luckless day, he was on a date to board the boat with the rest of the fishermen. Before he boarded, he was stung by a scorpion. He began to suffer. He was advised by one of the fisher men to go to the doctor, and another said to rub garlic over the sting, but most of them said different words that carry one meaning: “nothing will happen to you, you are a marginalized (khadem), and the marginalized (Al-Akhdam) have immunity against diseases.”) The bitten father listened to the opinion of the majority and moved with them without caring, and as soon as the boat reached the target point, he began to froth from his mouth and nose. It is only moments until he passed away. The murderous majority were not blamed. Some were of the view to take him to mortuary until his family comes to pick up his body. One of them said: “I do not think the hospital will accept a marginalized (khadam) who is not recognized by any one. As you know, the marginalized (Al-Akhdam) do not have any documents proving their identities. All what we know about our deceased is that his name is Saleh al-Khadim. I am of the view to throw him into the sea, at least he will be a useful meal for the fish.”
