Conveys strong emotions but feels a bit explanatory

"I liked how the writing conveys strong emotions and dialogues capture the tension and turmoil, however, the writing is more direct and explanatory than I personally like. May be we could hint at trauma and let readers piece it together. Also the transitions are a bit abrupt sometimes. I did read all 3 chapters pretty quickly, I do like the plot and premise,"
