Nudist Family Fun

My husband and I have two daughters. We are non-practicing, non-religious Christians and a very liberal family.

My husband and I are not prudes by any means - we have an active sex life and I identify as bisexual. Our relationship was partially open - meaning threesomes or swapping partner  - until our girls were school age.

We did not grow up as nudists and we follow typical standards for what we wear around the house. My husband frequently shirtless and we may walk around our 2nd floor (where bedrooms and bathrooms are located) in just our underwear.

Nobody is ever nude outside a bedroom or bathroom, and we all wear full-coverage bottoms while downstairs. Tank-tops or sports bras are ok, but underwear is not.

Our girls wear whatever they like, take birth control to regulate their periods, and have their privacy to do whatever they like behind closed doors, though they do not have unrestricted internet access 24/7.

Neither of our daughters has experienced interest in dating. Our younger is more girly but finds boys her age to be immature, and is rightly suspicious of older boys.

Our older daughter is a tomboy who likes sports, and has recently told us that she might be bisexual. As I also identify privately as bisexual, this is not a problem for us.

When I was young my mother explained homoesexuality to is as something that existed but was not “for us” - kind of like using drugs. My mother never knew I was bisexual as was my older sister.

My sister once told me that she approached a girl in her high school and was turned down hard. That girl also threatened my sister to be outed “as a dyke”, and it would have been very bad for her socially.

So she put that away and hid it, even though she knew I was bisexual and hooking up with girls at high school - girls she KNEW to be bisexual.

All of this eventually led us to being open with our daughters about everything, a bit too open than any other parents would.

We have an outdoor pool which we sometimes use for nude swims after dark. Nudity often leads to sex and our covered patio provides privacy - though this has been rare in the years since our girls have been past the toddler stage or when they have been away for an overnight sleepover. 

Our girls were not allowed to go nude in the pool. That was until.... the summer vacation.

That summer after our youngest turned 18, we took a 3-week vacation to the Mediterranean, staying in Antibes, in France.

My husband and I discussed this and prepared for the trip - our girls were allowed to choose their swimwear and for the first time, be allowed to get a thong bottom.

I have worn one around the pool for years - and while this may seem hypocritical, we have that issue of different rules for children vs. adults, because of potentially prudish or perverse neighbors. In France, there was no such fear.

Not only that, but women frequently go topless on the beach. I was game for this (I'm not shy about my body and very fit too), and since both the girls were of legal age now, they were given the option to do as they chose.

They had no problems at all and went topless from the first day - meeting other kids and making friends - even hanging out with boys their age while topless. The difference is that while people had their phones always, nobody ever walked around with a zoom lens camera, and since everyone was topless, so were they.

Our last week there, we walked down the beach to the nude section, which precipitated another discussion with my husband. After he helped me to shave my privates, we decided to go to the nude beach the next day. Our girls went with us, but it was up to them what they wanna do.

Once we got naked - for the first time in front of our children while they could understand what was happening - so did they. It was hard for my husband (no pun intended) to not get an erection while out there, as the nude side had plenty of young, fit people - especially young women - from all over the world.

Tourists like us from the US, super-tall Dutch and Swedish women, and blonde Russians with hair down to their waist. We spent 3 days on the nude beach. After each trip, my husband and I went back to our room in our suite, and fucked like we were teenagers again. It really invigorated us.

And then we came back home and high school started up again. Our daughters immediately kept wearing the same thong bikinis to the pool, and in only a week after returning, we found them both lying outside, sunbathing topless.

We said nothing to them, and I discussed this with my husband. We are concerned about the outside world, but we don’t want our girls to buy into the paternalistic sexism that exists in our part of the world. My husband and I are from the north-east and very liberal, and I  especially want our girls to stay body positive.

Our oldest daughter is very tall and slim for her age. She does not wear a bra yet as she is still just barely at a B-cup size.

She plays a few sports at school and has never had a boyfriend. My husband and I suspected she may be into girls - which is fine for us - but it’s not popular where we live.

Our younger daughter, is a bit shorter, a bit less blonde, and bustier. It’s funny because our oldest girl see the humor in this and refuses to loan clothing to her younger sister because she may stretch them out.

We were actually more concerned about our younger daughter and how mature she appears and how she would deal with the public nudity.

But they hung out with girls who were anywhere between completely flat and having full D-cups so they accept that bodies come in all sizes. This experience helped our girls become more body positive.
