Hi! I'm theFantasyGirl.
I am a big Harry Potter fan, and I decided to put a twist on it in this story.
In this book, Harry Potter has a (fraternal) twin sister, Camilla, who looks like Lily Potter. I know everyone turns Harry into Harriet when they gender-swap him, but I thought Harriet was a little, well, just not what I'm going for with this character. (No offense to anyone named Harriet; I have a friend named Harriet too, so I definitely don't mean to be offensive.) Plus, Harry means "home ruler" and Camilla means "helper to the priest" so I thought that could help portray how the world sees her.
Now, I want to make something clear. I despise Draco Malfoy in the books (I haven't seen the movies 😭). But, in this story, I wanted Draco to have a better personality. Partly so it'd be more realistic when Camilla falls in love with him. No one could fall in love with the heartless shell of a monster called Draco in the books. (Apologies to anyone who likes Draco).
This book is part 1 of 7 in my The Snake and the Shadow series, which follows Camilla and Draco's first year at Hogwarts.
This story is about a headstrong girl fighting to live outside her brother's shadow. This is a story about expectations and how to defy them. This is a story about how a rich boy meets a famous twin and the thing they become.

I recently went through your story “The Snake and the Shadow part 1: Unrealistic Expectations” and I loved it so much. Your writing is amazing, and I kept thinking how cool it would look as a comic.
I loved the setup in the summary where Camilla, overshadowed by her famous twin and treated like a maid, arrives at Hogwarts and meets Draco and Snape. That moment is so visually rich and would look incredible in comic form. I specialize in adapting stories into manga/comics, and I’d love to bring your story to life as a comic/manga.
