My 37 birthday

My birthday was everything it should have been.

Even if April 5 was my special day, I also put others before myself.

That's just how big my ♡ is.

Gabriel showed his romantic side, buying me a real flower.

He even bought home a strawberry shortcake with fresh whipped cream.

We also ate Subway, where it's always fresh.

Arri made me a card that showed how grateful she is for the happiness I bring to others.

Like Hollows said once to me, "How I strive to be positive every day."

It feels good knowing somebody thanked you for spreading green grass in their lawn.

Ivy sent me a quick email wishing a happy birthday.

I just hope that she sees that a tough cookie doesn't let a few crumbs ruin progress.

It only pushes you harder.

Praise texted happy birthday memes, adding snoopy into the mix.

We got talk on the phone, sharing a few laughs.

She even thanked me for the laughter coughing up a storm.

A few other beautiful ladies wished me a happy birthday.

I hold y'all close to my heart, even the ones who were busy posting chapters.

My bestie Suzi Q sent a gfi with a birthday wish.

I'm blessed that she's married to a good man.

If you love a single mom, her babies are the packaged deal you accept, too.

Aunt Bev wished me a happy birthday.

This year she didn't sing it, we had a deep hour of conversation.

She loved a few poems I wrote, that left her in awe.

Also reminded how I have autism, but autism isn't me.

I also called my family, who wished me a happy birthday.

Though 4 hours separate us, we're too dysfunctional.

I still love them, but got a life of my own to live.

Turning 37 felt no different, it's just a number.

It didn't matter that I look younger.

When what matters in the end is who you are inside.

Your heart, that beautiful soul with a smile that shines through.

Being grateful to live with the simple things.

To truly see in a world that's big, you figured out the secret recipe.

When you've got everything, it sure makes this world seem so small.
