A poem
As I lay dormant in the cold, frozen ground
Dreaming of sunshine and warm days all around
My petals wilted, my stem so frail
I longed for the warmth of the sun to prevail
But as the winter months slowly passed by
I could feel a change, a new energy inside
The ground began to thaw, the snow disappeared
And suddenly, my hopes and fears were cleared
One day, as if by magic, I felt a warmth
A flicker of life, a miraculous rebirth
My stem started to stretch, my petals to unfold
I was finally breaking through the wintry mold
A sense of joy rushed through my veins
As I basked in the sun, releasing my pains
I felt like dancing, reaching for the sky
As I embraced the season of rebirth, oh how I sigh
My colors once dull, now vibrant and bright
As if the sun had breathed new life in me overnight
I raise my head high, with a new found power
A symbol of resilience, of strength and of flower
For I have survived the harshness of the winter’s wrath
And now I thrive, a fighter in spring’s path
As the days grow longer, and the sun shines strong
I am reminded that even in darkness, we can find our song
So here I stand, a blooming flower
Grateful for the rain, the wind, and the hour
For without the struggle, I would not be here
Thriving in spring, with nothing to fear.
