"I am intoxicated and besotted by this story. I don't normally provide a review so early in, but I was so-very compelled. The prose is crafted wonderfully. The narrative 'voice' is consistent and cohesive and does not 'trip' over the other embellishments - such as non sequiturs, literary parallelisms, and beautiful enjambments - instead, it weaves together flawlessly. There is diction and texture and descriptors that are so immersive that I am there, in that room with the characters. This is character driven and narrative driven and it has a feel of grandiosity about it. Anne Rice with southern lace? People that enjoy character driven historical timepieces that has the undoubted gloss of peak professionalism, will love this."
