1. The call.
"What are you doing in my room again?!" I shriek with my hands grabbing my hair in frustration.
My younger sister looks at me with wide eyes, then a smile starts forming. "Hi sis, sorry I was looking for this." she holds up my rubiks cube. There is a bunch of stuff on my bed and a few empty boxed that I packed for college next year.
"Lindsey, you are going to clean this up right now."
"Nope." Lindsey says smirking. I feel like killing this child.
I just ignore,her roll my eyes and grab my clothes.
I point to the door and Lindsey gets the idea. She drops the cube and and walks out the room-my room - with a sulky face.
"Lindsey the bus is here!" My mom calls.
I decide to take a shower, that should calm me down. So I take my towel, drop my clothes and head for the bathroom.
Just as I close the door I hear my phone ringing from my room. I decide to ignore it, whoever it is can wait.
Once I'm done in the shower I wrap the towel around me and head to my room. I wonder who was calling me. Maybe it was Sarah. Being friends I get a lot of calls from Sarah with gossip. I'm not exactly a gossip type but I go along with it anyways.
I pick up my phone... Derek has called me. Hmm I wonder why he called me. A message pops up on my screen. It's also from Derek, I ignore that and call him.
Ring! Ring!
"hello?"
"hey Derek what's up?"
"Why didn't you answer my call?" He sounds mad.
" S... Sorry I was in the shower. Are we still on for the movies later? "
" No babe I'm sorry. The coach called and he said we needed to have an urgent basketball meeting."
Typical basketball players there is always an unexpected meeting or practice. But why does he seem so nervous?
" oh well that's OK! "
" sorry babe. "
"bye. "
