"how i love summer"
7:03 AM
The bright sun streamed through the window, casting a warm glow on Priscilla's beautifully clear bronzed skin. She removed her silk sleeping mask and glanced at the time.
7:08 AM
Rolling across her bed to do so, she made her way to the balcony; a refreshing summer breeze swayed around her: guiding her hair as the gentle waves whispered and the birds serenaded. Priscilla couldn't help but feel a sense of pure bliss. "How i love summer," she whispered to herself; savoring the picturesque moment. It was the first day of summer. In Priscillas mindset the first true day of happiness. She inhaled deeply, taking in the perspective as she closed her eyes. Immersing herself in the heavenly summer air. She made her way back to her room, tidying up her bed and heading to the bathroom to refresh her face with the cold water. Everything was perfect.
She decided to take a refreshing shower while the sun still beamed on her, getting out she hugged a towel around her. Proceeding to clean her teeth as the water dripped from her hair, she looked down at the counter reading a girl in her friend groups message. "Hey precious, come hang out with us down the beach and we can go to your fav açaí place, Acai delights!! Love from Delilah" A smile appeared across Priscilla's face, replying with an 'of course,' she pacefully finished getting ready and picked an outfit to go over her bikini.
8:05 AM
Priscilla strolled out of her house, her tote bag slung on her shoulder and her white crocs lightly tapping on the sandy pavement. Making her way to the beach, she was greeted by four of her friends; their faces lighted up at seeing her. "Hey!can we go acai delights?" she asked; her voice polite and met with nods of agreement and harmless laughter. They made conversation as they headed towards the açaí place, as they entered she lay her eyes on a worker at the shop. She was dazed by his presence; his striking blue-green coloured eyes complemented his dark features, from his olive-toned glowing skin to his masculine face. She was captivated.
8:22 AM
She brushed off her daze and ordered her açaì, locking eyes with him. She broke the moment looking down at his name tag, Marco. He smiled softly, "What's your name?" he paused before continuing his sentence, "For uh the bowl." Priscilla was left confused as she's never been asked for her name at this place before.
"Oh of course! it's Priscilla!" she beamed gently. He scribbled down her name on the bowl and went to make the açaì. She sat down with her friends, the sounds of the boom box playing "Could you be loved" and the waves intertwining with the breeze heard. Only just after she started to get into conversation with her friends, she was interrupted by Marco who handed her the açai bowl without watching where he was placing it and instead; gazing into her eyes. This caused him to drop the bowl and the açai to go everywhere, immediately, he dropped to the floor and started cleaning the mess. Priscilla felt guilty watching him and helped him in cleaning the floor.
"Im so sorry Priscilla!" he said with a genuine tone, "I'll make you another, don't worry about paying."
