Summary

—Por favor, eres solo un niño mimado y mantenido, no podrías hacer nada por ti mismo. —le oí gritar desde el vestíbulo del lugar que antes fue mi hogar. —Regresarás, y las puertas de mi casa no estarán abiertas para ti.

Pude escuchar la voz de mi madre intentando tranquilizar al hombre que gritaba a mis espaldas, aquel hombre era mi padre, quién ahora me había corrido de su casa bajo el criterio de que era un parásito que mal gastaba su fortuna. La fortuna de la familia Laurent, mi familia; pero le demostraría lo equivocado que estaba, quería mostrarle qué podría salir adelante sin su ayuda o la de su estúpido dinero.

En algún punto de mi vida, yo me había hecho de mi propio dinero, mi propio empleo e incluso mi propia empresa, pequeña pero la cual ahora me sustentaría, haciendo uso de la fortuna de mi padre y "mal gastándola" como diría el. Es por ello que ahora me encuentro caminando bajo la penumbra de la noche y arrastrando una maleta con la poca ropa que cupo dentro de esta.

Me deparará algo mejor mi vida en solitario que seguir metido en aquella casa con más adornos que recuerdos.

Llegué al garaje, metí mis maletas en la parte trasera del auto que me regalaron al entrar a la preparatoria, un lujoso y ostentoso BMW M8 color negro resplandeciente, decidí irme lejos de ahí. No le daría el gusto al señor Grant de creer que volvería; así que me subí al asiento del piloto, di marcha al auto y lo saqué del garaje, al pasar frente a la entrada de la lujosa casa, pude notar la mirada fría de mi padre, y sin más me alejé.
