Just in time for Black History Month, "The Chain Breakers" was written to praise some of my favorite African-American/black poets and to enlighten and chastise other cultural aspects... 19 poems I created this book in time for February, -Black History Month. The whole premise as the title suggests is to break the chains that continue to enslave us, -chains being any barrier or element that suppresses someone. I personally find some of my poetry to be offensive in its context and while I'd like to apologize for it, I have to defend it and stand by it because I feel it implies a truth we are so oblivious to, that it kills me. Some works premiered here are from years ago, I just had to dig up some of my grave yard poetry so to speak, to resurrect the ghosts, not all poems are worth dying. Evtida: It was a very sweet story, but it felt rushed. It didn't really convey the emotions. For example, when the girl was kidnapped, instead of panicking, going crazy, and causing a scene, giving in felt strange... His exaggerated relationship with his gay friend was also odd in my opinion.
