(this chapter explains how you and Coriolanus met and ultimately got married, told through Coriolanus’ point of view.)

it had been almost a year since Coriolanus was elected as president of Panem. a very long almost year. Coriolanus had been looking for a woman to marry, which has proved to be a very difficult job. He needed a wife to boost his public image, which was already great, but he reckons those pesky news reporters will need something other than “Are you planning on getting a wife soon Mr. Snow?” to report in. He’s gone on a few picnics with a few different woman, asking small questions and being polite as a gentleman should. Or atleast, trying to. Every woman he has met so far (minus Tigris and the Grandma’am) has driven him nuts. They all were so full of themselves, always putting their cleavage on full display when he tried to make small talk. He couldn’t take it. He was disgusted, yes he wanted a wife he would hate but this? He wanted a wife he would hate, but atleast be able stand near for five minutes! He didn’t even need a wife he would despise, just a wife he would not care for. Period.
Thats when you come into the picture.
It was a sunny day in Panem the day he saw you. A day so humid you would think it was District 12. You had been sitting on a small park bench, reading what seemed to be a romance novel from what he could tell being so far away. To you it was a normal day, to him it was the day he saw his bride. Unknowingly, it had also been the day that your life would never be the same again, ever.
The next couple of days, he followed you, secretly. He took note of your routine, get out of bed, go to your job at the bakery, sit at the bench and read, go to the animal shelter to see the animals, go home, sleep. You were just so…..peaceful. Thats what he hated about you. How you could just life your life, no worries at all. Afterall you were still young, with him being 26 and you being 22. He also noticed how you interacted with other people, you seemed to have no family other than your older brother, and only a few distant friends. Having such few people in your life made it rare to see you interact with close ones, since your brother lives across the Capital, and your friends don’t seem to have a very close connection with you. But when you did interact with people, he saw how polite you were, how respectful you acted. No signs of flashiness or bragging. He thought you were district until he saw your file, stating you were indeed Capital born. He just couldn’t believe someone who was Capital blood, could be so kind and polite. Now yes, Sejanus had been a kind person too before he died, but Sejanus was district. Your just different from other woman.
When he eventually gathered up the courage to speak to you, you treated him like any other person, with pure kindness. You didn’t give a bow, or any pleasantries like others would when speaking to the president of Panem. You treated him like a normal person, on a normal day, in a normal conversation. Coriolanus didn’t like that, but he didn’t show it either. When the conversation was coming to an end, he asked you if you would like to have dinner with him some time. You checked your schedule and agreed, thanking him for the opportunity and walking off into the distance to your house after establishing dates and times
He’s got you now. Youre right where he wants you to be.
You and Coriolanus had a great time at dinner. You made small talk, opening up to him little by little each time. And he couldn’t deny, you looked absolutely gorgeous. He shakes his head at the thought, managing to convince himself it’s just the neediness from not pleasuring himself in a while. He wasn’t even paying attention to what you were saying, just trying to convince himself that he hated you, and he didn’t like you even if you were attractive. By the end of dinner (and the time that Coriolanus convinced himself he had to hate you), you had opened up a lot more and were doing full on laughs now. He looked at your eyes and how lovestruck they were, this was perfect. He’s got you wrapped around his finger now. His plan was going to work, not that he thought it would fail but you get it.
A few months later, you were dressed in the traditional snow colored white wedding dress, with a pearly veil to match, and white roses along the top to match. He was dressed in a classy black suit with a white bow instead of black. White was the Snows color afterall. After you said your vows (his of which were messily made up 2 hours earlier), it was to put the rings on. Yours was the traditional Snow bride wedding ring, given to you by the Grandma’am. It had a beautifully engraved white rose in the top, and silver jewels along the sides. His was quite simular to yours, the same color scheme along with the word “Snow” engraved on the side with the same pretty silver jewels on the sides. Coriolanus analyzed the ring before joining you in cutting the cake, which was expectedly white aswell.
When the ceremony was over, and everyone went home. You and Coriolanus were left to move your stuff into your new living space (aka Snow giant mansion).
With everything set up and in place. your fate was sealed within the Snow family. Your right where he wants you to be.youve been caught in the spiders web.
