Chapter 1-The Mysterious Old Man(Prologue)
On a rainy day, a husband and wife who were commoners were heading home after selling wood in the market. Along the way, they stumbled upon an old man who was on the brink of death. He was holding a baby in his arms and his body was covered in scars as if someone had tried to kill him.
They both approached the elderly man and inquired about his situation. The man looked into their eyes and then passed the baby to them. With his weak voice, he said, “Save him no matter what. He’ll...” but he couldn’t finish his words and died.
The confused couple couldn’t comprehend the situation. They gazed at the baby, whose eyes had two colors. One eye was red, and the other was golden. His hair was white on one side and black on the other. The baby had a name tag on his clothes which had the name ‘Ahsinav’ written on it. He had a necklace around his neck and looked like a member of royalty.
As time passed, Ahsinav turned seven years old. He had a younger sister named Cecelia. She was five years old. They did not have surnames as they were commoners.
Cara was a caring mother who treated Ahsinav as her own child, while Carmen was a supportive father who provided for their living expense. Ahsinav will assist his father in cutting wood and then loading it onto the carriage. Ahsinav’s family was too poor to afford anything beyond necessities, so neither Ahsinav nor his sister were able to learn magic because of their family condition.
