Refreshing view of the Werewolf world

"I liked the new perspective. I have gotten tired of the cliche werewolf love stories so this was a breath of fresh air. It is definitely not a romance novel by any means. I did feel a bit disappointed about it. But it is written excellently."

Well done

"I loved the story, the twist would have loved it more if there had been a lot more romance. Especially in the end. Don't stop writing it was still great."

Unique Plot

"I found this story to be refreshing, especially since most of the werewolf stories are about Alphas and Betas finding their mate. It was really interesting to watch our lead go through the motions of finding out about herself and the new world she became part of. It would have been really great for the story to have a bit more detail to it, but I get wanting to keep it short. I would also say that the multiple different viewpoints of the ensemble characters towards the end took me out of the story a bit and was a little confusing remembering who they were. Overall I think this story has great potential to be extended. "

Bold is good

"A note to the Author! As a first novel, you have done a great job. There is a good plot here, plenty of potential, and a story that kept me wanting to know what would happen next. That said, I felt the storytelling could benefit from a little more polish and, at times, a little less “waffle”! My biggest piece of advice would be: be bold! There are several moments when you introduce a sensitive or emotionally charged situation, but just as things are beginning to get interesting, you seem to pull back. Rather than fully exploring the emotion, you sometimes brush over it. Don’t be afraid to let your characters really feel things. Fear, happiness, self-doubt, embarrassment, awkwardness and even anger are what make characters believable and allow the reader to connect with them. Give us more. Show us the trembling hands, the racing heart, the awkward silence, the relief, the uncertainty. Let the reader experience the emotion rather than simply being told that a character felt it. You have created the situations, so trust yourself enough to take them further. I also found myself a little confused at times about who was a wolf and who was human. A clearer distinction from the outset would help the reader visualise what is happening, particularly during the ambush. I wasn’t always sure who knew what, which characters were on which side, or how some of the names mentioned fitted into the unfolding situation. A little more clarity here would make those scenes much easier to follow and would add considerably to their impact. Overall, though, I think you have a good story on your hands. The foundations are there; now it needs refining, tightening and, above all, a little more confidence. Don’t be afraid to take the reader by the hand and throw them right into the action. Be bold with your characters, bold with their emotions and bold with your storytelling. For a first novel, you should be proud of what you have achieved. With some polishing, I think this could become a much stronger and more compelling read."
