What is your opinion?

Interesting plot and expansion on Arkham!

"I personally love Lovecraftian horror and the aspects you've taken especially from Arkham apply to your story well! The only constructive I would have is the first chapter, especially the beginning, is hard to feel compelled to continue. I also get this sometimes with other Lovecraftian works so I know the good portion of stories comes from the middle and end, but I do think something exciting or more compelling in the beginning might be a good hook to keep readers engaged. My last thought is that I really struggled with the punctuation. I'm a classic quotation marks person, and as someone who does use audio assistance tools for listening to stories (I also know some blind people who read online use speechify or other technologies to listen), the dashes to indicate dialogue don't work this way. So anyone reading it in this format, and also for me who was confused at first if this was a code dialogue or through a phone rather than face-to-face, it makes it very difficult to follow. I also found it leaves little room for that time between dialogue where characters can be expressive, but that's probably more a personal thing that I enjoy, especially when knowing how characters are saying it. Are they shouting? Whispering? Etc. But overall I really enjoyed the story of madness, occults, and I think the concept of the Gilded Gates was well done! Sometimes it really did feel like an original Lovecraft piece of fiction which felt great, as its hard to find nowadays :)"
