Chapter 1 - Who i am
Twenty-six years. (country) woman. 5-footer. Without heels. Weight... variable. Since I was small I was chubby, now I’m... holding steady. Brown hair. Long in the right way. Profession... reporter. At least that is what I would like to do in life. Right after the studies I was taken into a London newspaper. I started with scoop dedicated to mixed marriages or to the cutting of the largest cheesecake in the world ... and I managed to end up on the front page with Kent’s exclusive maniac confession. How did I do it ?! Well... if I were a magician I’d say, “Revealing a trick to me is like dying!” Okay, I know I can not get it that way! The truth is... Ever since I was sixteen... I can hear the thoughts of all the men who are next to me. I’ve been raw? Too much straightforward? Well, there is not a “tender, sweet, or otherwise less abrupt” way, to say it. And don’t you think it’s a walk in the park! Maybe you think I’m a sort of a monster, like a religious mantis, ready to pull the head of his man for eat it... well, the truth is that this “gift” ... It’s not a gift. But a ... curse. Because I never knew how to take advantage of it. In fact ... it did hurt to my social life, to be fair. And I cannot imagine what would happen if everybody knew about it ... I’d end up in a circus dressed up like a magician. Or in a dress with pink confetti colour. Or in a psychiatric clinic full of morphine. Right, right, right... Sorry! Heather. My name is Heather McAllister... and this is my life. Welcome into my little hell!
