"I like stories that I can't guess what will happen next. This author has a nice ability to throw you off what you think will happen. And it happens more than once. In fact, I don't think anything worked out the way I thought it would! Which is why I rated it so high. That was amazing in my book! Hummmmm... a very unexpected plot twist with a group meeting in the back of the store. (I don't want to give to much away.) But some of the characters and what they are thinking and feeling could be brought out more. The author just states what has happened after that meeting, and the degree of remorse she is feeling. That could have been brought out, and developed a lot more, without it being just smack in your face. When he finds the shoe prints there could be more drama and tension that is built around what to do and why. Then flip why not, then make a decision. Actually I think this is an amazing start of a great novel, from an amazing author."
