Chasing Shadows of Dreams

It was a nice summer day in 1966 when a group of eight Stanford University students decided to spend the week on a trip to Mount Whitney ( Death Valley National Park). It was their senior year of college, and they decided to spend one last summer together before they all went their separate ways. Tyler Woods, Michael Levine, David Parker, Elizabeth Taylor, Anna Lane, Marisa Sage, Alex Fox, Irina Edwards. On a hiking trip, they encounter a 2000-year-old Pure-blood Vampire who has been trapped. she was waiting for a young group of faces to sink her teeth into to start her bloodline again after her bloodline was destroyed by Nexus hunters. As they enter the cave, Nami gets her chance and turns them into Pureblood Vampires. She turns and writes a note on the wall ” I have turned you into Pureblood Vampires I hope you all survive, if you do please go find my brother Davis Sterling in Scotland, he will tell you everything.” attached with his address on the wall.

One day later They are all awake and not realizing what has happened to them. Tyler says ” What happened to us?″ Micheal replies ” No idea but I am so thirsty.“′ Elizabeth says” Look at the writing on the cave walls. Anna reads it out loud and says, “OMG, we are Vampire Now Marissa says “This can’t be happening to us. Alex says “We better get out of here.” They all turn to leave and, they get out of the Cave. Irina encounters the smell of blood and says “You smell that a human is nearby we need to get out of here before we expose ourselves” " She jumps and lands in the forest, and everyone else follows her. She quietly approaches a deer and sinks her teeth into the drink of blood. Everyone is shocked. Anna says ” how did you do that,”Irina says ” I watched a lot of vampire movies”. Irina says” you have to hunt down an animal and drink their blood. we do need blood to survive now”. Everyone follows Irina, they all hunt down a deer and drink their blood. After hunting, they set out on a Journey to find Davis Sterling in Scotland Realizing they are no longer human they needed to leave the past behind them.

A car pulls up a man British accent says “Hello "Can I Help you this is Private property. Anna says "Hi sorry we were looking for Dr. Davis Sterling″. The young man says “That’s me, and you guys are”. Elizabeth responds “We were told by Nami to come to find you”. Davis understood, said “Very well”, open the gate through his car. The gate opened and he says follow me as he drives his car in. As the gate opens, he says “wait here in the front entrance for me I will be right back”. as he drives his car to the left. “Wow, this place looks magnificent, Huge,” says Marisa. Davis appears, “Well I see you take a quiet liking in my place”. Lizzie says “you live here”? Yes, “I own quite a few places around here. Come in, as he turns, and walks up to the doors, maids and doormen greet them. “Dr. Sterling welcome home”. Davis says” We have guests, prepare some tea for guests and biscuits and bring them to the Parlor cellular upstairs”.As he said that, the maids went off, and Davis said “Follow me”, As they walked up onto the grand staircase, and into the parlor, you may leave your things at the doorway, my doorman will get them and put them in your rooms. They follow Daivs into the parlor. They go inside. Davis says “I will be right back, wait here for me. He goes into a big master bedroom then the hall, changes out of his work clothes, and comes out, then goes into a dark secret cellular, types code on the keypad door opens. Inside was a huge fridge filled with blood bags. He opens the fridge and takes out 30 bags of blood, pouring them into a glass wine bottle and throwing away the blood bags. He closed the dark cell behind him. He goes back into the Parlor, and the biscuits and tea have arrived. Davis takes out wine glasses and sets them on the parlor table. “I assume you are all thirsty, “as he pours them a glass of blood each. Anna said like I could smell from down the hall. We have not drunk in 24 hours. Micheal, Tyler, and David all said “yes”. Lizzie says “Yes we are, we could find any animals nearby thanks to Adarline for teaching us”. Anna smiles and says ” It comes in handy by watching movies and learning from movies”. Marrisa just nodded. Davis pours himself one as well. “Well please help yourself with biscuits too”. “They are made from lamb blood, and corn”. Anna says” Dr. Sterlings, we apologize for coming unannounced, we were just a group of college students who were on a camping trip near Mount Whitney, we went inside your sister’s cave to stay away from the rain”. She told us we were chosen ones, that we needed to find you for answers.

Davis drinks from the glass and says “It’s no problem at all, I was expecting you all soon or later”.“Yes, indeed you are my sister’s chosen one. Davis tells a story says “My sister and I were born into the Mount Whitney mountains, We were Whitney Coven”. “We come from a powerful bloodline, pure-blood vampires, and we could only marry within the Pure-blood vampire line, One night a pure-blood vampire Rafel decided he wanted to create more of us, our bloodline go on because we were not producing children fast enough. “He wanted to turn humans into vampires, so he created a noble vampire”. “So they had half pure blood and human blood running in their veins. It is not allowed. We had a treaty with the Bennet sisters, , we were never allowed to harm a human or turn human life unless their life was in danger. and we must have Bennet’s sister and Sutton s wolf’s permission.” We always kept a secret from the human world, they never allowed us to find out about us, as we lived among them.” Rafel betrayed us by turning his lover Stella”. his lover lost control of her bloodthirsty. converted noble vampires don’t have the same blood satin as we do. We only drink animal blood. Stella lost control of her thirst, and together they killed a village.” “As our punishment, we were all killed, The Sterling ,Derrick family had a promise made to the Bennet sisters, if they came to that day, they were sparring our lives. My punishment was that I was never allowed to see my sister again, and had our son killed right in front of me.” Nami’s punishment was that she was locked away in a cave when the time came she was able to reproduce our bloodline again”. Davis says “The time had come; we waited 2000 years for this. She found you all and made sure, you all can carry out our bloodline”. Our Sterling family and Derrick family were the only two royal bloodlines that could pass down our bloodline to others. We were the Original Vampires. Rafel was terrible; our whole family was killed. “I lost hope when I lost my sister, never to see her again”,

Things changed when I met Amelia, she gave me hope and brought meaning to my life”. Suddenly a woman appears in front of Davis, and kisses him. Davis introduces her, “My wife Amelia Derrick”. Amelia greets and says “Hello great to meet you all, finally,” I was wondering when you are all coming, I just picked up Oliver from school”. A little boy looked about 10 years old and walked in.“Daddy looked and I got a 100 hundred on my math test today”. “Good job Oliver. My son Oliver Sterling is so smart”. “Oliver, how do you go with Mommy to have dinner Daddy will join you later”. “Okay, “says, Oliver. Oliver and Amelia leave the parlor, and Amelia takes Oliver outside in the forest for a hunt, to keep Oliver interested in drinking blood. “Sorry, that was my son”. “He pure-blood, “asks Anna. Feel free to explore the house”, Says Davis. the library is on the third floor. Lizzie, I have a question, “Can a pure-blood marry a human”? Davis says of course they can, they can choose whoever they want to marry and choose their mate. If they want to change their mate into a vampire they will have to get approval from the Bennett sisters”.

Davis says “I go check on Oliver, oh down the hall is cellular with blood bags, the password is 041717.” In case you all needed it. “Thank you Dr. Sterlings,” says, Anna. Learning about the past of the pure-blood gave me more of an idea of what it’s like to be a pure-blood vampire, says Lizzie. Let’s Explore the rest of the house. Elizabeth and David say “Actually we are going to walk around.” Alright, I guess will then. Irina and Alex were going to go play some tennis. Mike and Marissa decided to go check out the movie room. Anna and Tyler I guess “It’s just me and you babe, we can walk around “and take Tyler’s hand. David and Elizabeth walk up to the third floor, come to a door, and open the double doors, wow there are so many books here, this Library is huge. David asks” Lizzie what is wrong”? Lizzie says “Nothing is wrong.” David turns her around and faces, Lizzie. “I know you so well, what’s wrong”? Lizzie took a deep breath, “I just missed my parents, seeing their faces brought me so much sadness, I never thought of her parents like that”. They were the best things that happened to me. Now all they have is my Little brother, my little brother looked up to me, how will he feel when he finds out that his sister passed.” David comforts Lizzie. “I know, it’s okay, you always have me as a family and everyone else”. Our wedding will never have where my parents attended one.” David kisses Lizzie. Irina and Alex go to the courtyard to play a round of tennis. Alright, “Bring it on Irina show me what you got”. They played Tennis back and forth.

Marisa and Mike went up to the movie room, and they sat down as they talked, Marisa asked “Micheal are you okay being a vampire and all this”? Micheal said, “It’s not a bad thing, despite losing my family, giving me hope for the future, Plus you and I can live forever”. Marisa replies “Yeah but, why did Nami choose us, I wish I could have more of a normal human life”. Micheal hugs Marisa “I am sorry baby, we can change what happens but we need to embrace our future and face it together. Marisa breaks down in tears and says together always”.

Tyler and Anna sit in the courtyard talking about what their future will be like. “I wonder if I can still become an interior designer. You will baby reply Tyler, I will become a Lawyer”. The plan is still to go to law school. The future looks bright for each of these young vampires. They are the next generation of powerful pure-blood Vampires.
