Meeing him
"Mom! Am I supposed to wear my jumper and robe on the train? " I asked, popping up off the floor after retrieving my shirt that I was going to wear if I didn't need to wear my robe and jumper.
"No, I don't think so sweetie. I think you can wear casual clothes. " She said, setting my breakfast on the table and pouring me a glass of orange juice." Okay mom. " I said, going into the bathroom and changing into a pair of jeans and a white shirt with my black hoodie.
Stepping out of the bathroom, I checked myself in the mirror and ruffled my hair a bit, sticking it into a low ponytail. I was transferring over to Hogwarts and I was excited.
I have heard many stories about the school and being able to see it for myself was going to be the experience of my life. Not only was I going to the school but I had a possiblity of being in the same house as Harry Potter and that itself was very exciting.
But, then I also had the chance of being in the same house as Draco Malfoy and that on the other hand was not at all exciting. From what I have heard, he is arrogant and cruel. But, you can not always believe what people say.
"Make sure you write to me when you can. My mother said as I sat down at the table and began eating my french toast and bacon. "I will mom, don't worry. "I said, sipping on my orange juice and wiping my mouth with my napkin.
My stomach grumbled in satisfaction as I finished off my food and placed my dishes in the sink to be cleaned. My mom always makes the best breakfast.
"Okay, we should get going if you want to make it to the station on time." My mom said, looking at the clock above the kitchen table. I smiled and grabbed my things, walking out to the car and placing them in the trunk and my owl; coconut, in the backseat behind the passenger.
The drive to the station was quiet and peaceful. The scenery as we drove by was not disappointing. It was fall and the leaves were just changing over from green to shades of red, orange and yellow. We passed by a pumpkin patch and I gasped, the sizes varied from huge to tiny and I giggled. It was funny to see how some of them grew in different shapes, sizes and even colors.
We arrived at the station and loaded all of my things onto the trolley and ran through the barrier. As my things were loaded onto the train, I looked at my mom and hugged her tightly." I will miss you. "I whimpered. I had never been away from my mom as long as I was going to be away from her now and it scared me a little." Don't worry, you will have your father. "She said as she rubbed my back. "What if he doesn't recognize me? Or like me. "I said in a tiny voice and I wiped my face.
She looked at me for a moment and cupped my face in her smooth, delicate hands. " Your father will know it's you when he sees you." She said, as if she was also trying to assure herself as well." Okay mom. See you at Christmas time. " I said, letting go of her and making my way through the train to an empty compartment.
As the train took off, I watched as my mothers figure faded away; the further I got, the smaller she got and I sighed. She was right, everything was going to be okay. I was only overthinking as per usual.
"Who do we have here? " I gasped and looked up at the male who had spoken. The male was tall with platinum blonde hair. "I'm Reyn Snape." I said, looking him in the eyes, trying not to show how nervous I was.
" I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy. "My eyes widened and I let out a tiny squeak." Did you say Snape?" He asked, furrowing his brows and I nodded in responce." You must be his daughter." He said as he put his bags above the seat and sat down.
My nerves spiked and I scooted so I was not directly in front of him. He was quite Intimidating in a way that made me want to sprint out of there and find another compartment. The way he looked at me was as if I was a mouse and he was a lion, waiting for the right moment to strike and it made me shiver.
Minutes later a few of his friends showed up and I grabbed my things, not wanting to be there any longer and searched for a compartment with a seat available. Not only was it weird but it was also interesting how he was simply able to run me out without even having to try. Maybe I was overreacting but what can I say, he was intimidating. He looked like he would burn a butterfly's wings and watch it die.
