Chapter 1
What kind of excitement that wholly swept my dreams to a high expectation that I had never dreamed of. The news of relocating to another country from my parents was not just a delight but also a surprise that swept me off my feet because I had never heard from them talking about relocation even though my tender age I could not hold their plans.
I was fully submerged with and full of many questions of our new place how it will be, will I get new friends? What kind of weather and will I get new playing toys or I will carry mine with me while traveling.
The preparation started on high gear because I couldn’t bear the fact that I would forget anything would make my life more colorful in my new place even though my suitcase couldn’t carry everything; I had to choose the best of my toys not forgetting Shayla my favorite toy and playing partner regardless she barely respond to me in our conversation. Due to the facts that all of them were lovely and fondly like them left my suitcase almost burst due to my overload which left me with no place for personal belongings; which left me with no choice but to request assistant for my mom who came to my rescue with the new and bigger suitcase which comfortably carried everything I was in need of.
The date being reviewed kept me lingering in my mind counting down the dates towards the day; where I could barely sleep on the material day due to my high expectations since it was my first day on a long flight though my exhaustion couldn’t allow to face the long day at peace. I was swept away with a soundly sleep but luckily enough to my parents were there for me as fresh as a daisy to wake up at the crack of the dawn there are no much to do because we had already parked our luggages, was only a quick shower and dress up to go. The time waits no man as the saying goes moreover the limited of it give me no chance to utter a word of goodbye to my friends because our taxi had arrived much earlier than we expected, mine was to watch as our bags were loaded to go. The journey to the airport was as quick as speed of light due to the fact we needed to be there prior time for departure. And to avoid long queue of checking in, we arrived at the airport on time and our clearance went through without hitches even though the place was as packed as a stadium of people heading to different destination. We boarded our flight where I requested my parents to sit on window seat so that I could review the landscape as there flight took off and luckily enough the weather was great that I could see the lands from miles away as the flight took off to our destination.
The flight was enjoyable nevertheless some hiccups of turbulence here and there which left me scared even though my parents were there to comfort me. The view outside become dark due to the fact that the rainy clouds that beneath us nothing was visible from the window. I slept after being served a meal where I was awakened by my mother that the plane is almost landing and with no time it touched the ground safely. When our time came to alight I carried my backpack through the clearance; after an hour or so we were through and on our way to our new place.
We had just a little time to settle down because my parents were reporting to work the following day. We stayed in our new apartment for a week with my brother because the schools were on their holidays where we were to report to our new school after commencement of new semester. And with no time I had new friends who taught me their language moreover my willing to learn it was high after a few weeks at least I was able to understand most of it because even my new teacher corrected me whenever I made mistakes. My relocation was success regardless of limitation of time on settling down but we did and we are now happy in a new place.
