Chapter 1: The beginning
“Come on Kelly you’re going to miss the bus to school today” Kelly’s mom said. “I’m coming, give me a second. Ok I’m ready!” Kelly said with a smile on her face. She had on a tie-dye pink,blue and purple shirt with overalls that made her dark brown skin pop, her black curly hair in a tight bun. “Morning mom, morning dad and morning baby Robert” Kelly said, giving a kiss to both her parents and baby brother. “Hey baby, how'd you sleep last night?” Kelly’s mom said smiling. “Pretty good” Kelly said.
“Ok I’m going to go brush my teeth, do my hair, get my stuff for school, get my phone, fill up my water bottle, have breakfast and get my shoes” Kelly said remembering her list for the day. “Oh and take my medicine” Kelly said. “Um baby why don’t you just get your medicine first ok?” Kelly’s dad said. “So are you excited for your first day at superhero school?” Kelly’s mom asked. “Yep so go to SSH superhero school?” Kelly asked. “Yep you’re not nervous about school today right sweetie?” Kelly’s dad asked. “A little nervous but I’ll be fine” Kelly said. “Oh and don’t forget that your guidance counselor is going to give you a tour of the school” Kelly’s dad said. “But Dad isn’t SSH both a middle school and high school?” Kelly asked her dad. “Yep it’s pretty much the same building” Kelly’s dad said. “Oh and you did put the location of your school in your phone right?” Kelly’s dad asked. “Yep I did” Kelly said. “Good ok now you might want to have breakfast because the bus will be here soon” Kelly’s dad said.
“Got to go love you baby” Kelly’s dad said. “Love you too dad” Kelly said. “Oh and I need my metro card” Kelly said going to her bedroom to get her things for school. “Kelly! Do you have your stuff you need do to done?” Kelly’s mom said. “Yep” Kelly said. “Ok the bus is here have a great first day at school love you baby” Kelly’s mom said smiling. Kelly’s backpack was light pink. “Thanks love you too mom” Kelly said smiling.
